Base Class: Monk
It was the Githzerai who invented this technique. They sought to strengthen their bodies and their minds against the insidious powers of the illithids. Never again would the be slaves to their former masters. But their powers they would take and forge into weapons of their own. Only a mind and body in harmony can wield powers such as these.
Psychic Arts
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast calm emotions, detect thoughts, or see invisibility, without providing material components. Additionally, you gain the message cantrip if you don’t already know it. You are resistant to psychic damage.
The saving throw DC for the spells equal 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.
Astral Step
At 6th level, you gain the ability to step from one place to another. As a bonus action you cast misty step to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You then have advantage on the first melee attack you make before the end of the turn.
Cloud the Mind
By 11th level, you have learned to cloud the minds of your opponents. You can use your action to become invisible. You remain invisible until you make an attack or cast a spell.
Overwhelming Mind
You are immune to psychic damage. You can spend 8 ki points to cast dominate monster. (17th Level Required)
The saving throw DC for the spell equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.
