Bard
Base Class: Bard

It takes a special kind of person to know just what to say at just the right moment. It takes an invested person to use such phrases and one-liners in order to sway others; for better or worse. To those willing to commit to the bit, the power of your words speak volumes and can affect those around you.

Bards who studied under the College of Wit learn to harness their word-play, jokes, and yes even puns to worm their charisma and intent into their magics. Having studied under various experts in the craft of both genuine humor, and horrendous cringe-worthy exploits, these comedians can cause increased buffs to their allies and expanded detriments to their enemies. But it should be said that if your bit happens to fall flat just remember that life is a grand comedy, and anything can be turned into a zinger.

From most uproarious gut-buster to the worst of groaners, a little wit goes a long way

Satirical Subposition

When you join the College of Wit at 3rd level, you learn how to use your flexible word-play to try and turn a failed joke into a winning one. Whenever you cast an enchantment spell that targets only one creature, and that creature succeeds on the saving throw,  you can use your reaction to target another creature within the spell's range. If you target another creature using this feature expend one use of Bardic Inspiration. Roll one Bardic Inspiration die and the new target subtracts the roll from their saving throw.

Debilitating Delivery

Sometimes wit can be a useful distraction, espcially when it catches the target off guard. Starting at 3rd level, you can attempt to debilitate a target within 30ft of you as an action. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC becoming incapacitated and reducing the target's movement speed to 0 until the end of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all uses of this feature once you finish a long rest.

Captive Audience

Some of the best bits are the ones that stay with the audience long after they've heard the punchline. Starting at 6th level as a bonus action on your turn, if you have cast a spell that imposes a condition and grants a target repeated saving throws at they end of their turns, you can expend one use of your Bardic inspiration to keep the good times rolling by imposing disadvantage on the following saving throws.

From Insult to Injury

It has been said that the most accomplished bards have the capacity to roast absolutely anyone. Starting at 14th level, whenever a creature starts its turn while under the effect of an enchantment spell that you have cast upon them,  you can cause them to take psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
