Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Missile are quick and agile, landing quick blows before retreating, and never being able to be hit by ranged attacks.  They learn to harness ki to block any projectile coming their way, and never let their guard down.

In modern times, these monks have adapted to catching projectiles from firearms and even small explosive missiles.  Some go into magic acts, catching bullets with their teeth, though many die when doing so.

Block the Missiles

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn to deflect any missile heading your way.  Whenever you use Deflect Missiles, you may spend a ki point to continue to use that feature without using a reaction.  This applies only to Deflect Missiles, and not any other feature using a reaction.  When using Deflect Missiles in this way, you may not catch the projectiles.

Escape the Horde

At 6th level, you learn to dodge any attempts to attack while you appear to have your guard down.  Opportunity attacks are made at you with disadvantage.

Continual Dodge

Beginning at 11th level, you are always in a stance to dodge most projectiles.  At the end of your turn, you enter a defensive stance against projectiles.  The first five ranged attacks made against you until the end of your next turn have disadvantage.

Miss

Also at 11th level, your ability to dodge becomes uncanny.  When targeted by a ranged attack, you may use your reaction to spend 3 ki points.  Unless the attack roll was a 20 on the d20, the attack misses.  You must be able to see the attack to do this.

True Missile Form

At 17th level, you gain the true power of missiles.  When you attack with a caught weapon or piece of ammunition, you do not use a ki point to do so.  When using Block the Missiles, you can now catch and attack with all the projectiles you deflect, provided you reduce the damage to 0 first.  You have resistance to bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage against nonmagical ranged attacks.  Your movement speed increases by 20 feet.  This speed adds onto your unarmored movement.
