Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

A warlock of the Kaleidoscope made a pact with said beast. The Kaleidoscope is a mysterious outer-worldly being, capable of using gemstones as a source of power. Anyone can become a Kaleidoscope warlock on a single condition; to forever vow to never attack the Kaleidoscope. In exchange for this vow, they gain power over gemstones, being able to use them in new and powerful ways.

Additional Spells

A warlock of the Kaleidoscope knows the following spells, not counting against spells known.

Gem Savant

You gain proficiency with jeweler's tools and the ability to know the average market value of any gem by just looking at it.

Gem Magic

A warlock of the Kaleidoscope can use any gemstone as an arcane focus. In addition, the gemstone's value can be used to enhance their spell. The gemstone's value can be expended instead of  a spell slot of a spell level equal to every  100gp in value (For Example, a 200gp gem can be used to cast a second level spell without using a spell slot). Using a gem in this way destroys it, no matter the spell level cast. When a spell is cast this way, it does not require any material components unless if the material component has a gp value greater than the gem used, and it does not require verbal or somatic components.

Conservative Spending

When expending a gemstone to cast a spell using Gem Magic, you gain max HP equal to the spell level +  your warlock level. You can only gain this benefit once per turn, and the extra max HP vanishes after your next short or long rest.

Gem Spell Storing

As an action, you can store a spell you can cast into a gemstone. The spell must be of a level equal to or below the gp value of the gemstone divided by 100. When a spell is stored this way, the gemstone can cast the spell when used as a Use an Item action, using your spell attack bonus and spell save DC, but treating the person who performed the action as the caster. The spell will be cast as if it was cast using a spell slot with a spell level equal to the gp value of the gemstone divided by 100. The gemstone is then destroyed, as if expended by using Gem Magic. When a spell is cast this way, it does not require any material components unless if the material component has a gp value greater than the gem used, and does not require verbal or somatic components.

Gem Creation

Once per long rest, you can take one minute and spend a spell slot to create a gemstone of your choice with a value equal to the spell slot level times 100gp.
