Base Class: Monk
Monks of the way of the shattered wind are masters of converting ki into shockwaves that are capable of shattering rocks and diverting storms. They do this in an understanding that the world requires to be broken to heal again, and so they set across the world, healing it with their skills.
Fury of the Wind
Once you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can harness the destructive aspect of ki and send it outward in a brutal shockwave to finish your assaults. When you make an unarmed strike or your flurry of blows, you can expend 1 ki point to send forth a destructive shockwave. If the attack hits, after the creature takes damage, they must make a dexterity saving throw. They take thunder damage equal to 2 of your martial arts dice + your wisdom modifier on a failure, and half as much on a success.
Screeching Barrage
Once you reach 6th level, you can extend your Ki into a sonic missile. As an action, you can expend up to 3 ki points to create a number of missiles of pure destructive sound equal to the amount of expended ki points, you can fire one of these missiles as a bonus action. Make a ranged attack against a creature within 80 feet, if it hits, it deals 4d6 thunder damage.
You can use this feature once per short or long rest.
Thunderous form
Once you reach 11th level, your proximity to destructive ki has altered the ki within you, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain resistance to thunder damage.
- You are immune to being deafened
- Your unarmed strikes have a range of 10 feet and you can choose to do thunder damage instead of bludgeoning when you roll damage.
Shattered Earth
At 17th level, you can send one of your shockwaves into the ground. By expending 5 ki points, you can blast deadly Ki into the earth, all creatures within a 40 foot cone in front of you must make a dexterity saving throw, taking thunder damage equal to 8d6 + half of your monk level on a failure, and taking half as much on a success.
