Base Class: Wizard
Wow so much wow
Wizardly Quill
2nd-level Arcane Reasercher feature
As a bonus action, you can magically create a Tiny quill in your free hand. The magic quill has the following properties:
- You may use this quill as an Arcane Focus
- The quill doesn’t require ink. When you write with it, it produces ink in a color of your choice on the writing surface.
- You can erase anything you write with the quill if you wave the feather over the text as a bonus action, provided the text is within 5 feet of you.
- When using the quill as an Arcane Focus, you may use it to substitute any verbal components of a spell you cast with somatic components, writing the speech in the air. If the spell normally has somatic components, you must still make them with a different hand.
This quill disappears if you create another one or if you die.
Ghost Writer
2nd-level Arcane Researcher feature
You learn the Find Familiar spell if it is not already in your Spellbook. When you cast the spell, you can choose the form of your familiar to be that of an enhanced Unseen Servant. It is identical to an Unseen Servant, except as follows: It can move up to 120 feet from you, has a Strength score equal to your proficiency bonus + 1, and when you are scribing spells into your Spellbook, creating scrolls, or otherwise researching or studying from books, your Ghost Writer can assist you, doubling the speed at which you can do those or similar activities.
As with any familiar, when you cast a spell with a range of touch, your Ghost Writer can deliver the spell if it had cast the spell.
Expanded Studies
6th-level Arcane Researcher feature
You have such understanding of written spells and runic language that you can copy spells from any scroll into your spellbook. You can copy spells from scrolls to your spellbook, even if it is not a wizard spell. This process takes four times as long as a normal scribing, and costs four times as much gold. In addition, you learn the spell as if it were 1 higher level than it normally is. For example, if you copy Cure Wounds into your spellbook, it is treated as if it's base level was second: This does not gain you any benefit you would normally receive for casting a second level Cure Wound, but can still upcast it to third or higher.
Runic Augmentation
10th-level Arcane Researcher feature
Something sometghing arcane runes
One with the Word
14th-level Order of Scribes feature
Your connection to your Awakened Spellbook has become so profound that your soul has become entwined with it. While the book is on your person, you have advantage on all Intelligence (Arcana) checks, as the spellbook helps you remember magical lore.
Moreover, if you take damage while your spellbook’s mind is manifested, you can prevent all of that damage to you by using your reaction to dismiss the spectral mind, using its magic to save yourself. Then roll 3d6. The spellbook temporarily loses spells of your choice that have a combined spell level equal to that roll or higher. For example, if the roll’s total is 9, spells vanish from the book that have a combined level of at least 9, which could mean one 9th-level spell, three 3rd-level spells, or some other combination. If there aren’t enough spells in the book to cover this cost, you drop to 0 hit points.
Until you finish 1d6 long rests, you are incapable of casting the lost spells, even if you find them on a scroll or in another spellbook. After you finish the required number of rests, the spells reappear in the spellbook. Once you use this reaction, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
