Base Class: Barbarian
Some Barbarians draw their rage from a primal frenzy, others from religious fervour, you draw strength from you empathy. You see the pain of those pushed to the edge of society, you hear their pleas and against those pushing down you rise up. Clad in safety pins and eyeliner the colour of coal, you stand at every protest and push back on riot shields. Yours is the fist raised in solidarity, brought swiftly down onto the face of a fascist. So get your heavy boots and hair dye, its time to rage for the downtrodden who are too tired to rage for themselves.
Safety Pin Protector
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can don safety pins to mark yourself as someone who protects the marginalised. These allow you to roll 1d6 as a reaction to determine how many pins those who hit you with melee attacks are wounded by, dealing 1 point per pin. If an enemy attempts a grapple then this does not require your reaction. The number of pins you wear increases by 1d6 at 6th, 10th, and 14th level.
(These pins can be flavoured as any sort of damage, and switching the damage is entirely possible if the character changes outfits).
Underdog
Beginning at 6th level, you gain benefits when fighting an enemy which can overpower you. If your enemy has a higher AC then you critical hit on dice rolls of twenty minus your constitution modifier and higher (before modifiers). For each critical hit, the roll required increases by one until it becomes twenty once more. This effect ends if the enemy is incapacitated before each critical is made, restoring the threshold to twenty.
Once this benefit ends, you can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest. At 14th Level you can use this feature twice per long rest.
Picket
Beginning at 6th level, you can use a reaction to shield your allies from harm, providing they are within 5 ft. You roll 1d6 and reduce the damage of any attack or spell effect by the amount, adding your rage bonus if you are raging. The amount you reduce damage by increases at 9th level, and 16th level.
Rioter's Rage
Starting at 14th level, when you rage at the beginning at combat you gain additional reactions equal to the number of enemies in battle that exceed you allies. Any time an ally is harmed, you have advantage on attacks against the enemy who hurt them. Finally, you gain temporary hit points if an ally defeats an enemy within 5 feet of you.
