Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Hailing from the far north, the Northwardens is an order of warriors created by the First King when he absorbed the tribal people of the mountains into his Kingdom.

Over centuries the once unrefined viscious fighting style of the northern realm became a dedicated order teaching patience and self-control. Though sworn to the service of the King, since the days of the First Kingdom the orders' numbers have dwindled. Now only a few remain, solitary warriors wandering the wilds alone looking for the next worthy cause.

In war, the greatest weapon an army can have. But in peace, a loner and a nuisance to all.

Focused Fury

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you focus your Rage against a single enemy. While engaging a single enemy in your melee range and not being flanked you have advantage to saving throws you have to make as a result of that enemy's attacks or spells.

Additionally your patient fighting style now lets you spend a turn without attacking and not loose your rage early if you engage an enemy on the same turn.

King's Warrior

At 3rd level, you learn to calm yourself in the presence of an ally. Putting greater emphasis on strategy to aid in overwhelming your common foe.

While you and an ally within 5 feet of you engage the same enemy you both gain the benefits of flanking without needing to engage from two opposing sides. This effect is lost if either of you are engaging more than 1 target.

Patient Fury

Starting at 6th level, your patience and focus teaches you to reserve your strength and direct your defense where needed. If you attack once with your weapon as an action, you can choose to use your second attack action to do Patient Fury instead. Adding +2 to your Armour Class until the start of your next turn. This effect is raised to +3 if you're flanked.

Soldiers of Composure

Starting at 10th level, your sense of purpose and determination grants you the ability to shrug off a mental attack and inspire your allies to do the same. While raging, as a bonus action you can clear and grant yourself immunity to charm and frightened that extends to your allies within 5 feet of you. Can be activated once per short rest and lasts for as long as you're raging.

Aegis of Balance

Starting at 14th level, the loyalty and endurance taught through your days of warfare inspire you to push on against all odds. While raging you ignore all effects that cause you to be knocked prone, restrained, grappled or slowed. You also ignore difficult terrain and all allies within 10 feet of you obtain the same effects.

Enemies within this field are intimidated by your determined advance and suffer disadvantage to their attacks and saving throws if they're engaged by you or an ally within the Aegis of Balance effect.
