Base Class: Wizard
In times of war, arcane and divine magic are unrivaled when it comes to destruction and versatility....until now. New schools of anti-magic warfare are emerging in secret while sorcerers, wizards, and their kin are still unsuspecting.
You specialize is disarming spell casters of their greatest weapon; magic. Magic users have a hard time affecting you and your allies with their arcane prowess. Sometimes, you can even cause their attempts to harm you and your friends to backfire.
2nd - Negating Prescence
Your extensive study of the Weave has shown you how to manifest gaps of dead magic to deter incoming hostile magic. When you are targeted by a spell attack or forced to make a saving throw or ability check due to a magical effect, you may choose to succeed automatically, reduce the incoming damage to 0, or both(no action required). You can use this feature after you know the outcome of any rolls.
Once you use this feature, you must complete a long rest before you can do it again.
6th - Consuming Presence
Your can now use your Negating Presence feature one additional time. Additionally, when another creature within 60ft of you is subject to a magical effect, you may use your reaction to share the benefits of your Negating Presence with that creature. This ability expends one use of your Negating Presence feature.
10th - Spell-Rebound
Your manifestations of anti-magic can now cause magic to violently fluctuate around other creatures in the process of spell casting.
As a bonus action, you can force a creature within 120ft of you, that you can see, to make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, when that creature casts a spell, they take 1d6 force damage for each level of the spell plus your Intelligence modifier, immediately after they cast it.
This effect lasts for 1 minute or ends early if you die or are incapacitated. Using this feature is extremely subtle, requires no casting components, and forms a somewhat translucent aura around the target. When a creature fails the saving throw of your Spell Rebound feature, it expends one use of your Negating Presence feature.
14th - Arcana Contingency
Constantly working within the space of your own dead magic has led you to discover a separate force of magic entirely, the Shadow Weave. Drawing upon the Shadow Weave allows you to cast spells in areas of wild magic, dead magic, or anti-magic without being affected. Additionally, you have developed an aura of dead magic that has more potent and permanent effects. After a short or long rest, you can adjust the nature of your aura into one of the following types:
- Aegis - All cantrips cannot damage, harm, or effect you unless you allow them to.
- Nebulous - Spells that you cast cannot be dispelled or counter-spelled
- Sinister - Creatures have disadvantage against your Spell-Rebound saving throw and the damage die increases from d6 to d10.
The benefits you gain last until your next short or long rest and are always active unless you are dead or unconscious. Additionally, you can now use your Negating Presence feature a total of three times between long rests.
