You have studied and begun practicing cannibalism to replicate the strengths and abilities of a Kuishu, or ghoul. You'll gain extra appendages with special properties and abilities, rely on eating raw flesh of humanoids, and risk losing your mind to the power of your Kakuja.

Kagune

You grow a Kagune, an extra appendage(s) that are extensions of your body. There are three options to choose from and each type of Kagune is different, so choose wisely. The appearance of any Kagune is unique, no two will look the same.

Koukaku

The Koukaku Kagune appears as two blazing wings of fire coming from just below the shoulder blades and they shoot crystals, deals piercing damage, and has the ranged property. As a Bonus Action you can spend 1 ki point to summon your Koukaku Kagune for 1 minute. Attacks made with this Kagune are considered unarmed strikes and use your Martial Arts die for the damage roll.

Rinkaku

The Rinkaku Kagune appears as 4 or 2 tendril-like limbs protruding from the base of the spine, deals bludgeoning damage, and has the reach property. As a Bonus Action you can spend 1 ki point to summon your Rinkaku Kagune for 1 minute. Attacks made with this Kagune are considered unarmed strikes and use your Martial Arts die for the damage roll.

Ukaku

The Ukaku Kagune appears as a blade protruding from the shoulder and deals slashing damage. As a Bonus Action you can spend 1 ki point to summon your Ukaku Kagune for 1 minute. Attacks made with this Kagune are considered unarmed strikes and use your Martial Arts die for the damage roll.

Ghoulish Hunger and Senses

Normal food and drink disgust you to the point of wretching, so you must consume herbal drinks and the raw flesh of humanoids to survive. You can bite a humanoid as an unarmed strike, and when the attack lands you regain a number of expended ki points equal to a roll of your martial arts die.

In addition, you senses of hearing and smelling are greatly increased. All Wisdom (Perception) checks made with hearing or smell have advantage, and you can identify a person by scent after spending 1 minute within 10 feet of them.

Regeneration

Through the continued training and eating of raw flesh, you have gained the incredible regenerative ability that is inherent in Kuishus.

Kagune Evolution

You have gained great amounts of experience using your Kagune, now it has evolved and taken on a special property.

Koukaku

If you manifested the Koukaku Kagune, then now it has evolved. Your Koukaku Kagune can now propel you through the air. Whenever you have your Koukaku activated, your jumping distance is doubled, and your jumping distance can exceed the amount of movement you have left on your turn.

Rinkaku

If you manifested the Rinkaku, then now it has evolved. Your Rinkaku Kagune will automatically move to block incoming blows. Whenever you have your Rinkaku activated, your AC is increased by 2.

Ukaku

If you manifested the Ukaku Kagune, then now it has evolved. You Ukaku Kagune can now grow in size and deal more damage. Whenever you have your Ukaku activated and land an attack with it, you can add half the roll of your martial arts die to the damage of your attack.

Kakuja

Through continuous cannibalism of your fellow humanoids, you have finally unlocked the ultimate power of a Kuishu; the Kakuja. A Kakuja is a powerful asset, but it comes with a risk of losing your sanity. However, if you can tame your Kakuja, you will become a formidable force indeed. When a Kakuja forms, a mask typically forms with it, and the appearance of your Kakuja and mask are determined by your inner demons and darkest fears, as well as whatever it is you want most at the moment they form.

Armor

Showing as an armor harder than steel, when your Kakuja forms you gain a formidable defence. While your Kakuja is active, your Armor Class increases by 4. You can activate your Kakuja by using your Bonus Action to spend 5 ki points to summon it and your Kagune. Alternatively, you can use a Bonus Action to spend 3 ki points to summon your Kakuja after your Kagune has already been activated.

Weapons

Showing as arms, tails, blades, or even mouths, when your Kakuja forms as weapons you have more options for attacks. While your Kakuja is active, the number of attacks you can make within one action increases to 4. All attacks made using your Kakuja are considered unarmed strikes. You can activate your Kakuja by using your Bonus Action to spend 5 ki points to summon it and your Kagune. Alternatively, you can use a Bonus Action to spend 3 ki points to summon your Kakuja after your Kagune has already been activated.

Wings

Showing as a pair or group of beautiful wings, when you Kakuja forms you gain more movement options. While your Kakuja is active, you gain a flying speed of 60 feet. You can activate your Kakuja by using your Bonus Action to spend 5 ki points to summon it and your Kagune. Alternatively, you can use a Bonus Action to spend 3 ki points to summon your Kakuja after your Kagune has already been activated.
