Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

The fastest of thinkers form the School of Split Mind. To progress through the ranks of the University, students - also known as Arcanists - must demonstrate speed in processing information, depth in the hardiness of their focus, and above all the ability to split their minds without spiraling into insanity. For those who are both talented and dedicated, the rewards are well worth the effort and focus.

While Arcanists often devote themselves to theoretical and practical research, they can put their talents to many different uses in the world. Some of the most famous mage towers in the world were designed and constructed by Arcanists. On the battlefield, the side with an Arcanist can dictate the flow of the battle from start to finish.

Quick Processing

At 2nd level, you are trained to recall and process information quickly. When you make an Ability Check using Intelligence (Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, Religion) or Wisdom (Perception), you can do so as a bonus action.

Eidetic Memory

Also at 2nd level, you may replace one preparation of a spell in your spellbook with another spell from your spellbook if you succeed on an Intelligence (Arcana) check. The DC for this check is 10 + the new spell's level.

Once you have successfully replaced a spell this way, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Mind Split

At 6th level, you have trained your mind to split into two. You can concentrate on two spells at once.

When concentrating on multiple spells, the sum of their spell levels cannot exceed 3, or else each of those spells end. This number increases as you gain levels in this class as described here -

Wizard Level Spell Level Sum Limit
6 3
7, 8 4
9, 10 5
11, 12 6
13, 14 7
15, 16 8
17, 18 9
19, 20 10

While concentrating on two spells you are able, you may not cast any spells other than cantrips and spells with a casting time of 1 reaction.

When you take damage, you make separate Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration on each spell you are concentrating on.

This feature can only be applied to spells and not other concentration features.

Focused Mind

At 10th level, your focus is hardened. When you are concentrating on only one spell, the DC for any Constitution saving throw to maintain your concentration cannot exceed 10 regardless of the amount of damage you take. For every additional spell you are concentrating on, this number increases by 5.

True Genius

At 14th level, you learn to split your mind into three. When you are concentrating on two spells, you can use the third split mind to either cast non-concentration spells as normal or to concentrate on a third spell. The sum of all three spells' levels cannot exceed the limit described in the Mind Split feature.

When you are concentrating on only two spells, you are no longer restricted to just cantrips and spells with a casting time of 1 reaction. Instead, this restriction now only applies when you are concentrating on three spells.

Additionally, you make Intelligence checks and saving throws with advantage unless you are concentrating on three spells at once.
