Base Class: Monk
You follow a monastic tradition that teaches you to harness the power of light and dark. When you focus your ki, you can align yourself with the forces of good and evil altering your physical form to reflect the change in ki. your will. Some members of this tradition dedicate themselves to only one force, but the most powerful learn to combine them. Those who follow the Way of the Divergent Soul might be members of a religious order, working to stop ancient rituals for summoning demos or keeping the influence of religious groups in check. Some might be children of angels or demon who have a natural affinity toward the divine, while others might just have an attunement to the powers beyond this realm.
Transcendent Awareness
You gain the following benefits:
- If you can’t already, you learn to speak, read, and write Celestial and Infernal.
- As an action, you can spend one ki point to detect the presence of any creature of an infernal or celestial nature. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity, Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the hallow spell.
Hand of the Seraph
Your connection to the divine allows you to channel of the celestial plane. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to activate your Hand of the Seraph. Once on each of your turns when you hit a target with the an unarmed strike or with a monk weapon, you can deal extra radiant damage to the target equal to your Martial Arts die.
Hand of the Fiend
Your connection to the divine allows you to channel of the celestial plane. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to activate your Hand of the Fiend. Once on each of your turns when you hit a target with the an unarmed strike or with a monk weapon, you can deal extra necrotic damage to the target equal to your Martial Arts die.
Seraph State
Your mastery of your ki allows you to channel the energy of the divine into yourself and enter a divine state. As a bonus action, or as part of the bonus action you take to activate the Hand of the Seraph, you can spend 1 ki point to enter the Seraph State. The state lasts for one minute, or it vanishes early if you are incapacitated or die. While in this form you gain the following benefits:
- Divine Constitution: You are resistant to radiant damage
- Angel's Wings : Wings sprout from your back and grant you a flying speed of 60 feet.
- Speed of the Seraph : When a creature makes a melee attack against you, you can spend 1 ki point as a reaction to make an attack against the creature.
Fiendish Form
Your mastery of your ki allows you to channel the energy of the hellish into yourself and enter a demonic state. As a bonus action, or as part of the bonus action you take to activate Hand of the Fiend, you can spend 1 ki point to enter the Fiendish Form. The form lasts for one minute, or it vanishes early if you are incapacitated or die. While in this form you gain the following benefits:
- Demonic Constitution: You are resistant to necrotic damage
- Devils Wings : Wings sprout from your back and grant you a flying speed of 60 feet.
- Ferocity of the Fiend : Once per turn, when you take the Attack action on your turn and miss you can spend 1 ki point to attack the same target again.
Divine Domain
When entering your Seraph State the power of your ki radiates from you, protecting your allies from harm and punishing any who raise arms against them. When you enter the Seraph State as a bonus action, you create an aura of divine power that radiates 15 feet from you for 1 minute. Melee attacks made by hostile creatures against you and your allies within your aura are at disadvantage. Hostile creatures that end their turn within your aura take radiant damage equal to half your monk level.
Demonic Domain
When entering your Fiendish Form the power of your ki radiates from you, propelling you into combat and punishing any who raise arms against you. When you enter the Fiendish Form as a bonus action, you create an aura of divine power that radiates 15 feet from you for 1 minute. Once per turn, The monk, as well any allies within 15 feet, can roll a d6 and add the number rolled to a melee attack roll. A creature can benefit from this feature from only one monk at a time.
Balance of Good and Evil
Your mastery of your ki allows you to channel the energy of the divine and the demonic into yourself to become the embodiment of the balance between both forces. As a bonus action, or as part of the bonus action you take to activate the Hand of the Seraph or Hand of the Fiend, you can spend 1 ki point to enter the both the Seraph State and the Fiendish Form. The state lasts for one minute, or it vanishes early if you are incapacitated or die.
