Falling Leaf Ranger

 The Falling Leaves are a sect of Rangers hailing from the Northern ridge of the Carpetwood in the continent of Shok-Liht. Uniquely trained fighters, they master the art of dual-wielding unbalanced blades, in a fighting style they simply call "The Dance," which is meant to emulate the asymmetrical back-and-forth descent of a falling leaf on the wind.

The sect of the falling leaf forges and trains with their two traditional blades, the Heartstrider and the Preypiercer

• Preypiercer- a Twelve inch dagger worn in the second hand, emblazoned with the words "Ent Ath Tel'athun"- And Through the World

The Dance

By following the path of the Falling Leaf, you are a student of nature, and the dance of the forest in the wind. This is The Dance, a combat and life style used by rangers of the Falling Leaf. you are incredibly perceptible to others' movements, both within and outside of combat.

- Attacks of opportunity cannot be made against you
- You can read the true intentions of a creature masterfully by watching their physicality. You are twice Proficient in Insight

Of the Forest

Your mastery of the Dance allows you to gain new abilities in combat. At 3rd level, you gain one of the following features of your choice.

The Leaf

You Recognize the patterns in even the most unpredictable path. You may choose not to make an attack with your off hand on your turn while making a dual-wielding attack. If you do, gain an additional reaction.

The Tree

During combat, you are able to root your mind and body. Add your Constitution modifier to your Armor Class (AC)

The Wind

You flow through foes with the grace of a breeze. Once on each of your turns when you make a weapon attack, you can make another attack with the same weapon against a different creature that is within 5 feet of the original target and within range of your weapon.

Syncopated Strike

The imbalanced tempo of your attacks makes it difficult for your opponent to duel you. Whenever an opponent misses a melee attack against you, if their attack roll was 2 or more below your armor class (AC), you may use your reaction to make a riposte, attacking that creature with your off hand.

Natural Mastery

At 11th level, you gain one of the following features of your choice.

Earthymn

Your attunement with the natural world allows you to draw upon leylines of power which run through the world, letting you cast new spells. You learn two cantrips and one 1st level spell from any spell list, as well as the spell Dispel Magic.

Whirlwind Attack

You can use your action to make a melee attack against any number of creatures within 5 feet of you, with a separate attack roll for each target.

Runic Invocation

Your attunement to the Heartstrider and Preypiercer blades brings their inscriptions ablaze. You learn Elvish, if you don't already Know it. As a bonus action, you may speak the words of either blades' Inscription. You may not use this action again until you take a long rest, as the Blade draws magic from both you and the earth.

Heartstrider- "Arta Tel'Keth" - For the next 5 Minutes, the runes on Heartstrider glow a brilliant gold. By exerting your will, you can cut through the planar material, opening a temporary doorway into another realm. The planar material stitches itself back together after 10 minutes.

Preypiercer- "Ent Ath Tel'Athun" -Each Creature of your choice within a 50 foot cone must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC16) or become frightened for 1 Minute. in addition, each affected creature takes 4d8 psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
