Ungoliant, the Devourer

Your patron is the spirit of Ungoliant, the great spider, who was sealed away from the world by the power of the gods. Over the years, her prison weakened, allowing her to empower servants in the prime material plane to bring about her return.

Expanded Spell List

Ungoliant lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Spider Climb

Starting at 1st level, Ungoliant gives you the ability to cling to the most sheer surface and walk unimpeded by the webs of her kin. You can move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings, while leaving your hands free. You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. You are also immune to the Web spell. 

Devour Light

At 6th level, you learn to consume light and use it to fuel your body. As a bonus action, you may absorb the light around you. Until the beginning of your next turn, you become lightly obscured, have advantage on stealth checks, and may gain 2d6 temp HP. 

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Venomous strike

Starting at 10th level, You can imbue your spells and weapons with the foul poison of Ungoliant. Once per turn, when you make an attack, you may force the target to make a Con save against your spell save DC or take an additional 3d6 poison damage and be subjected to the poisoned condition for one minute. 

Consume Spell

At 14th level, you gain a measure of Ungoliant's boundless hunger. As a reaction, when targeted by a spell, you may consume it, countering the spell, regaining a Warlock spell slot, and taking force damage equal to 1d8 times the level of the consumed spell. This damage cannot be reduced in any way.  

You may take this reaction a number of times per long rest equal to your charisma modifier.
