Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

As a member of the Order of Chronomancy, you pull at the strings of cause and effect to reweave the fabric of reality. Masters of this particular craft are rare: working with time magic is difficult and unpredictable, and many wielders don't make it past the intermediate stages. However, those who survive become unparalleled manipulators of fate.

Temporal Savant

2nd-level Order of Chronomancy feature

You can pull knowledge from different timelines. You gain the following benefits:

  • The time you must spend to copy a spell into your spellbook is halved.
  • You gain proficiency with a skill or tool, a weapon, and an armor type of your choice. You can change any of these selections over a long rest.

Rewind

2nd-level Order of Chronomancy feature

As a reaction when you are hit by an attack, you can teleport to an unoccupied space that you've occupied within the last round, and the attack misses you. You can use this feature twice, and regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

Temporal Anchor

6th-level Order of Chronomancy feature

You discover how to root yourself to a specific moment in space-time. As a bonus action, you can create an invisible, intangible teleportation anchor in a 5-foot cube you can see within 5 feet of you. For the next hour whenever you teleport, you can instead teleport to the anchor, even if it's beyond your teleportation ability's normal range.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier, but can only have one temporal anchor placed at a time: trying to place more than one anchor causes the previous anchor to fade away. You regain all expended uses of this feature when you finish a long rest.

Spelldriver

10th-level Order of Chronomancy feature

Your spellcasting is impeccably swift. Casting a spell as a bonus action on your turn no longer restricts spells you can cast as an action on that turn.

Paracausal Paradox

14th-level Order of Chronomancy feature

You have discovered a method of transmitting spells backwards through time, so they arrive just when you need them.

Effect. At any time, you may select a spell of 7th level or lower with a casting time of one action or bonus action from the wizard spell list. The effects of the spell occur with no action or component cost required, although you count as the caster of the spell for purposes of range, concentration, and ability scores.

Cause. Despite your meddling, you are not beyond the fundamental laws. After receiving a spell from the future, you can have no further spells arrive until you perform an hour-long ritual to send the previous spell back to your past self. At the end of this ritual, you expend the required spell slot and any material components that would normally be consumed. The effects of the spell don't occur, but the debt is paid.

Though you can use this ability to receive spells you don't know, in order to perform this ritual, you must have the spell recorded in your spellbook and have it prepared.
