Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Revolt believe that their performances are an instrument of change. They find beauty in the inherent chaos of the universe, believing that change is essential to a fulfilling and free existence. This college is infamous for its reputation of producing king-topplers, who inspire the common folk to start uprisings and chafe against their leadership. As such, these bards are distrusted by the nobility, but loved by the oppressed and downtrodden.

These bards take to adventuring like a fish to water, roaming the lands to dispense justice or sow discord and strife, for their desire for change permeates every aspect of their lives. It is rare when a bard of this college aligns themself with a governing body, and when they do, it is often in the name of infiltration or a means to dismantle a greater tyranny. They tend to forsake the stories of old, choosing instead to craft and improvise their own tales, many of which form at the spur of the moment.

Bonus Proficiency

When you join the College of Revolt at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with improvised weapons.

Stalwart Inspiration

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to inspire others to stand their ground against any opposition. When a creature uses a Bardic Inspiration die that you granted, they gain advantage on attack rolls and saving throws until the end of their next turn.

Turn the Tides

Also at 3rd level, your desire for justice manifests in a wave of destructive energy when a creature attempts to strike you down. When you are hit by an attack within 10 feet of you, you may use your reaction to unleash an energy wave that deals force damage equal to your Bardic Inspiration die + your Charisma modifier to any creatures you choose within a 10ft circle, centered on yourself. You have a number of uses of this feature equal to your proficiency bonus, which recharge at the end of a long rest.

Extra Attack

Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Defy the Fates

At 14th level, your hunger for change and chaos allows you to bend luck however you please. As an action on your turn, you can channel a fragment of the primordial forces of chaos to flip dice rolls for up to five creatures you can see within 30ft for 1 minute. For example, a 1 rolled by an affected creature becomes a 20, a 2 becomes a 19, and so on. Dice rolls for the affected creatures flip before applying any modifiers to the roll. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
