Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Instead of strength the Spell Rager's might comes from there mind, not unlike a wizard, they cast mighty spells of the Evocation school at point blank range relying on there fortitude to survive. they are able to think clearly and quickly while raging and add or increase spell's aoe range.

Mighty Intelligence

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level

  • your Rage gives advantage on Intelligence checks and Intelligence saving throws
  • spells you cast using Intelligence as the cast modifier gain the bonus damage from Rage
  • Reckless Attack gives you advantage on spell attack rolls using Intelligence during this turn
  • Brutal Critical affects spells instead
  • Indomitable might affects Intelligence checks instead
  • Primal Champion affects Intelligence instead of Strength

SPELLCASTING

When you reach 3rd level, you augment your martial prowess with the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the wizard and sorcerer spell list.

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips of your choice (of evocation) from the wizard and sorcerer spell list. You learn an additional wizard or sorcerer cantrip (of evocation) of your choice at 6th,11th and 14th level.

Spell Slots

To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 3st-level spell fireball and have a 3st-level and a 4nd-level spell slot available, you can cast fireball using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level wizard or sorcerer spells of your choice, all of which you must choose from the evocation spells on the wizard or sorcerer spell list.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the wizard or sorcerer spells you know with another spell of your choice from the wizard or sorcerer spell lists. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be an evocation spell.

Spellcasting Ability

Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your spells. You use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier

Raging Intellect

while raging the Spell Rager( in addition to the normal benefits from rage)

  • may cast spells
  • is allowed to concentrate on a spell.
  • gains advantage on concertation checks
  • takes half damage from there own spells

Magical Failings

All spells cast by the Spell Rager are cast at melee range. while cones and single target spells function basically the same just with a very short range do be mindful of your own health and allies position when casting any AOE spells.

the only way for the Spell Rager to learn new spells is through leveling up.

Massive Magical Melee

Spells that are single target gain a 10ft AOE from the point of impact and spells that already have an AOE gain an additional 10ft to it in all directions

Improved Raging Intellect

While raging you take no damage from you own spells and automatically succeed all saving throws caused by them

True destructive Magics

your spells ignore damage type resistances( fire, piecing, poison, etc.) and treat type Immunities like resistances. this does not affect you
