Monk
Base Class: Monk

Masters of the Way Of Ink create life through the use of little more than their own life energy and the specialized ink they print onto their skin in various designs. By channeling Ki into their “Hibar Aldam,” or blood ink, the markings become living breathing beasts. It is said in legend that this technique was gifted to a few chosen masters originally by The Old God Brushogun.
As a god of life and art Brushogun (symbolized by a brush creating a beast) could turn his own inky blood into beasts and men, sowing the seeds of belief that it was he who created the world’s animals. Whether or not this is true he blesses all monks who take the Rites with the recipe for Hibar Aldam.

The Art Of Life

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you have learned a specialized recipe to create ink made of your own blood and various poisons/herbs. As you level you will gain access to more abilities as you tattoo more of this ink onto your skin. To make this ink requires a full night of work and a holy symbol of Brushogun (Ex. Brush, Quill, etc.)

UPON CHOOSING THIS CLASS YOU LOSE THE EXTRA ATTACK FEATURE OF LATER LEVELS.

Master Of Ink

At 3rd level you can print, in meticulous detail, any beast you have previously seen (up to 3 different beasts) onto your skin, starting with your left arm (See CR restrictions below). As an action you can use 2 Ki points to summon up to half your Monk level rounded down of any beasts you have printed onto your skin. You may memorize two different beasts every two levels past 3rd. These beasts last for a number of hours equal to half your monk level +1. Once you use this ability you cannot use it again until you have taken a long rest.

Always Learning

At 6th level you start applying the Hibar Aldam to your right arm. Choose a category of enemy (Monstrosity, Undead, Etc.). You may now start creating tattoos of that category, these follow the same rules as your Master Of Ink ability, these creatures cost 4 Ki points to create.

Additionally you may choose one weapon you have proficiency in and tattoo it upon the nape of your neck, as a bonus action you may summon or dismiss this weapon. The summoned weapon is considered a +1 weapon of that type, including being magic.

Flow Of Brush

By 11th level you have learned how to infuse your Ki more effectively into your creations. You may now create life as a bonus action and can use this ability twice per long rest. Additionally your creations now gain one extra hit dice and their attacks are considered magical if they were not previously.

Perfected Art

At 17th level you have mastered the ways of ink, you may now use your chest to tattoo a third category of enemy. Creating these creatures costs 9 Ki points and you may now summon one CR 10 creature at the cost of 15 Ki Points. Additionally, you may now create creatures 3 times before needing to rest.
