Monks of the Way of Liberty follow a tradition that values individual liberty and harmony. The order recognizes the interconnection of all living beings and believes balance can only be achieved when all are free. They vow to protect the oppressed and vulnerable from those who exploit. It's members occasionally take positions as mediators or advisors for the élite but more often are found where there are broken and oppressed bringing hope to those who have forgotten themselves. Initiates are encouraged to adventure, it gives initiates insight into differing perspectives and forces them to make decisions that will demonstrate if they are worthy to progress in the order. 

Interconnected Mind

Upon choosing this tradition at 3rd level, you've undergone extensive training in understanding and valuing differing perspectives, allowing you to mystically enhance certain skills, you choose a class feature option. You gain additional options at 6th, 11th, and 17th level.

Akashic Record

Gain expertise in Intelligence (History) and once a day, you may expend 3 ki and spend 1 minute concentrating on a question about History and identify the answer as if your rolled a 20 on your Intelligence (History) skill check.

Better Communication

Your training has improved your ability to communicate so others understand. You gain proficiency in Charisma (Persuasion) and you can spend 1 Ki point to gain advantage on a Charisma (Persuasion) check. 

Better Intuition

Gain proficiency in Intelligence (Investigation) and you can spend 1 Ki point to gain advantage on a Intelligence (Investigation) check.

Better Recolection

Gain proficiency in Intelligence (History) and you can spend 1 Ki point to gain advantage on a Intelligence (History) check.

Better Understanding

Gain proficiency in Wisdom (Insight) and you can spend 1 Ki point to gain advantage on a Wisdom (Insight) check.

Master of Communication

Gain expertise in Charisma (Persuasion) and once a day allows you to expend 3 ki after a successful Charisma (Persuasion) check to shift the target an additional step in the desired direction.

Master of Motivations

Gain expertise in Wisdom (Insight) and once a day you may expend 2 Ki and increase your Passive Insight by 5 for 10 minutes.

Uncanny Intuition

Gain expertise in Intelligence (Investigation) and once a day you may expend 2 Ki and increase your passive Investigation by 5 for 10 minutes.

Protector of the Weak

Starting at 3rd level, you can project your ki to protect your allies, if an ally within 30ft becomes poisoned, diseased, blinded, paralyzed, or deafened you can use a reaction to spend 2 ki points to end the effect. If a bloodied ally within 5 feet of you is attacked by melee attack you may use 1 ki as a reaction to strike the attacker, if you hit reduce the attack roll by damage dealt and prevent that attacker from making any additional attacks against that ally until it's next turn. If a willing bloodied ally within 5 feet of you is attacked by a ranged attack you may use 1 ki as a reaction to occupy their space becoming the new target of the attack, your ally is either pushed or pulled to an open adjacent square outside of the line of fire.

Free Mind and Body

Starting at 6th level your discipline gives you the ability to focus your ki to resist things that may harm or influence you, when you make a Saving Throw you can spend 1 ki point as a reaction to gain advantage on the roll.

Calm Mind

As a reaction, you can spend 2 ki points to generate an aura of Calm within 30ft for up to 1 min (concentration), suppressing ongoing fear and charm effects for the duration, and reducing the save DC by 5 for similar effects initiated while a creature is within the aura. Additionally, hostile creatures within the aura make CHA saving throw (DC {{savedc:wis}}), they gain advantage if they were the target of a hostile action in the previous round. On a failed save, target becomes indifferent about creatures of your choice that it is hostile towards for 1 minute. This indifference ends if the target is attacked or harmed by a spell or if it witnesses any of its friends  being harmed. When the effect end, the creature becomes hostile again unless the DM rules otherwise.

Restorer of Hope

Starting at 11th level, as an action you can use 4 ki points to duplicate the effect of Beacon of Hope.

Watchful Mind

Starting at 11th level your experience reacting to the everchanging battlefield has enabled you to enter a watchful state improving your reactions. You may spend 3 Ki to enter a watchful state for 1 minute. During that time you gain an addition reaction each turn, can use 1 Ki to move 1/2 your movement in conjunction with any reaction, can react to things within twice your normal reaction range, and use deflect arrows as a reaction to protect an ally you are adjacent to or can move adjacent to by spending Ki as part of the reaction.

Purity of Mind

Starting at 17th level, as an action you can use 5 ki points to duplicate the effect of Aura of Purity.
