Base Class: Blood Hunter
Legends tell of a royal family that lived in the faraway Kingdom of Vanaheimr alongside their beloved deity, Beria the Creator. This family, hair golden like the morning sun and eyes blue as the sea, pledged their lives and services to the goddess in exchange for the privilege of living alongside Beria's creations. The creator deity agreed to this, forming a contract of sorts with the family's bloodline. The only thing that was asked was rather simple; defend the creations the Goddess made, and she would, in turn, protect the family from harm. After generations of peaceful symbiosis, the family soon came to learn that the creator goddess had grown ill. The family cried night and day, trying to find any and all ways to remedy Beria to no avail. Soon enough, the family realized their time with their beloved goddess was coming to an end. On the final day of the goddess' life, the family stepped forward, asking how they would be able to defend her creations without her? Instead of explaining the answer, the goddess believed it would be better to show her beloved subjects. With this, the creator goddess blessed the family with the gift of understanding Magick, the life source of Vanaheimr. Magick could be found in many different forms: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, and Darkness, and the goddess believed to truly understand Magick, you must learn every aspect. Only those who learn the true meaning of Magick but decide to use their gifts for good were surely the purest of heart, the goddess believed. With one final reminder of their promise, Beria passed away, leaving in her stead The Order of the Pythonissam. This Order, which soon grew in size thanks to the amount of those gifted with the Goddess' understanding of Magick, became keepers of balance for all things. The Order will only use their Magick for defending those who cannot defend themselves from those devoid of a soul.
Protection Circle
Magick is a wonderous life force that has the ability to do many things. Before passing away, Beria the Creator bestowed her knowledge of this wondrous ability to her followers to, above all, protect those she created and love. Thanks to this ability, Blood Hunters, or Pythonissam's, have learned the ability to manifest their Magick in various forms. One of which allows them to cast what is called Protection Circles. These rings of energy may be ether cast upon oneself or on another, helping to prevent devastating damage. Starting at Level 3, after concentrating for 25 seconds of in-game time, anyone within 50 ft. of the caster will have all damage halved. Furthermore, enemies who dare attack will be placed at a disadvantage while misusing their total by 1. Be warned, however, as should the caster be hit or knocked unconscious, the protection magick will dissipate. Use this ability to protect those you cherish.
One with Creation
Blessed be those who are granted the ability to understand the intricacies of Magick. Thanks to the creator god, you have the ability to have advantage rolls on Nature, Animal Handling, Arcana, and History checks.
Energy Shower
Using Nature to heal and nourish all who are hurt or in need is a Pythonissam's specialty. Use the ability the creator has granted you to conjure an energy-filled rainstorm within a 100 ft radius around the castor, healing those the rain touches. The stronger the castor becomes, the more replenishment the rain provides. Be warned, however, as Magick of this magnitude requires a great deal of effort to keep in effect. Should the caster be significantly injured or be placed in the dying state, the rain will cease. Let the Energy Shower be used to heal those in need.
Wrath of the Elements
Underestimating one's opponent is the quickest way to defeat. In regard to Pythonissam's, their adaptability with Magick does not stop simply with protection and healing. Beris, the creator Goddess, realized that her disciples would need a way to not only protect her creations but one another as well. Because of this, Pythonissams are able to utilize their Magick to attack enemies with any element. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Holy, and Demonic energies are able to be fired at enemy combatants as a bonus action, dealing 1d6. Like with most of their abilities, the stronger the castor becomes, the more firepower gets put behind their craft. Do not underestimate a Pythonissam.
Astral Projection
All Magick stem's from a Pythonissam's soul. Though fragile and delicate, those who train their will and Magickal prowess are able to utilize their own soul to become another part of their being. Pythonissam's are able to create an Astral Projection of their soul up to 150 ft away from their body, allowing them to be in places otherwise inaccessible. While in their projection, they become undetectable to all who are unable to sense Magick around them. Be warned, however, as this ability can be dangerous to those unweary of the true nature of this gift. Along with being unable to move their own bodies while performing this ability, should a Pythonissam be injured by an attack of the Arcana or by a Magical Weapon, the damage will be excruciatingly painful. Use wisely.
Transfer
Beria's promise of protecting the creations she holds dear still echos within your very soul. By any means necessary, you have a strong passion for protecting those who are your allies and anything in need of protection. Because of this, a new ability has been unlocked; the ability to alter the life force of another willing being. Pythonissam's who have gained the ability to Transfer is able to swap their health with that of another ally. Though this ability is extremely dangerous and may sometimes lead to death, sometimes desperate times calls for desperate measures. Utilize this ability to keep those you hold dear safe.
Harbinger of the Storm
Though Beria the Creator was a merciful and pacifistic goddess, hell knoweth no fury like a mother's wrath. None have survived to tell the tale of the legendary fury of divine lightning this goddess would strike down on those who dared threaten all she loved and cared for. This ability, upon the goddess' passing, was granted only to Pythonissam's who were deemed the most elite in the order. As a Harbinger of the Storm, castors are granted the ability to call upon a divine lightning storm within a 200 ft radius. Enemies beware, for should they fail a DC 18 Dexterity saving through, 7d20 of Holy Lightning shall smite those who stand in the Pythonissam's way. The class feature "Energy Shower" is applied to all allies within range. Be warned, however, as this ability comes with a price. The caster will be unable to move due to the sheer amount of concentration needed for such magickal power. Should the caster be knocked out of concentration or placed into the dying state, the storm will dissipate within a few minutes. Furthermore, the recoil of this mighty ability will make the caster weakened, placing them at disadvantage for everything until after a long rest.
