Monk
Base Class: Monk

An ancient fighting style taught by a benevolent Enenra (smoke demon), Way of the smoke demon monks control the battlefield with the ferocity of a demon

Smoke Arts

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can hurl a ball of smoke and vapor. You gain a new attack option when you use the Attack action. This special attack is a ranged spell attack with a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is necrotic, and its damage die is a d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. When you gain the Extra Attack feature, this special attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action. Also at 3rd level, you can use your ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast gust of wind, invisibility, misty step, or pass without trace, without providing material components.

Misty Strike

At 6th level, you can walk through the mist to ambush your opponents. When you use your ki points to cast Misty Step, you can make one weapon attack as part of the same action.

Mistwalking

Beginning at 11th level, you can spend 3 ki points as a bonus action to transform your body, imbuing yourself with the powers of a Smoke Demon for 1 minute. While this transformation is active, you can use a reaction whenever you are by an attack to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. If the attack misses, you can move up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see within range without provoking opportunity attacks as part of the same reaction.

Fog of Lost Souls

At 17th level, you gain a Smoke Demon's ability to siphon energy from fallen creatures. Once per turn, when you reduce one or more hostile creatures to 0 hit points, you regain 2 ki points.
