Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Songfire is the home of bards who delight in using their musical gifts as part of an awe-inspiring performance. This college teaches the arts of astounding dances, wondrous song, and destructive magic, which can be used to delight... or destroy.

The Bards of this college tend to be reckless and headstrong, traits that are encouraged by the bards' tutors, for a more confident performance is all the better to call upon the fiery magicks that the college takes their namesake from. In battle, bards from this college weave like smoke around the blades of their enemies, strike like wildfire, and dance like a flickering flame. These bards excel at acrobatics and duels, and their arrogance can lead them to seek out the most powerful foe on the field, using their deceptive strength to mock and taunt their foes to fury.

Choreographed Fighting

When you join the College of Songfire at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Acrobatics, Athletics or Performance. Additionally, while you are wearing light armour and you are not carrying a shield, you can add your Charisma modifier to your AC.

College Spells

Also when you choose this College at 3rd level, you can choose from an expanded list of spell when you learn a new bard spell. The following spells are added to the bard spell list for you.

Spell Level   Spells

       1st         burning hands, searing smite

       2nd        flame blade, scorching ray

       3rd         fireball, haste

4th         fire shield, wall of fire

5th          conjure elemental (fire elemental only), flame strike

Extra Attack

Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Fire Dancer

Also starting at 6th level, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn, opportunity attacks against you have disadvantage until the end of your turn. Additionally, if you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can choose one of the following Fire Dance options of your choice. You can use only one Fire Dance option per turn.

Infuriating Dance. You can expend one use of you Bardic Inspiration to cause the weapon to deal extra fire damage to the target. The damage equals the number you roll on your Bardic Inspiration dice. Additionally, the target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, until the end of your next turn, attack rolls against the target have advantage, and the target has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you.

Searing Dance. You can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to cause the weapon to deal extra fire damage to the target. The damage equals the number you roll on your Bardic Inspiration dice. Additionally, the target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or be set ablaze. While the target is ablaze, it takes fire damage equal to the roll of your Bardic Inspiration die at the start of each of its turns until a creature uses its action to douse the flame.

Blinding Dance. You can expend one use of you Bardic Inspiration to cause the weapon to deal extra fire damage to the target. The damage equals the number you roll on your Bardic Inspiration dice. Additionally, the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be blinded by cloud of ash until the start of your next turn.

Master of Pyrotechnics

At 14th level, you become a master of using fire alongside your performances. You gain resistance to fire damage, and whenever you deal fire damage to a creature, you can add your Charisma modifier to the damage.

In addition, you can use a bonus action to assume the form of a flame-wreathed performer for 1 minute, or until you are incapacitated. While in this form, you are immune to fire damage, and whenever a creature hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to force that creature to make a Dexterity saving throw against your bard spell save DC, taking fire damage equal to your bard level on a failed saving throw, or half as much damage on a successful one. After you have assumed this flame-wreathed form, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
