Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Hidden Blade are masters of utilizing hidden weapons. They learn special techniques to boost their prowess in throwing daggers and darts, making them unmatched in their art. Relying on quick and swift attacks combined with their exceptional agility, they make for excellent assassins and scouts.
Consecutive Bladework
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your training leads you to master the use of certain weapons in the usage of hidden weapons and the various techniques associated with them, granting you the following benefits:
Quick Draw: When drawing Daggers or Darts on your turn, you can draw Daggers or Darts up to an amount equal to your proficiency bonus instead. You cannot wield or draw an amount of Daggers or Darts greater than your proficiency bonus for each individual hand. Whenever you wield more than one Dagger in a single hand, those Daggers lose the melee property and gain the range property.
Flurry of Blades: When attacking with a Dagger or Dart, you can throw any number of Daggers or Darts you currently wield in either of your hands. Choose a target for each Dagger or Dart you throw. If a Dagger or Dart you throw has the same target, reduce it’s hit roll by 2 for each other Dagger or Dart you have chosen the same target for. Each Dagger has its own hit roll and damage roll.
Penetrating Blade
At 6th level, you learn how to utilize a powerful wrist technique to augment the attack power of hidden weapons you throw. Attacking at any range with a Dagger or Dart doesn’t impose disadvantage on your hit roll and you double your proficiency bonus on your attack rolls with them.
Swift Precision
At this level, your vast experience with hidden weapons has made using them reflexive. Whenever you are within 30 feet of a ranged weapon attack while you have at least one Dagger or Dart in your hand, you can use your reaction to target the incoming projectile with any number of Dagger or Dart you are currently wielding in an attempt to intercept it. Each Dagger or Dart that hits the projectile reduces the hit roll of that projectile by 1d4.
Blade Mastery
At 17th level, you have mastered the art of using hidden weapons. When using Flurry of Blades, you don’t reduce your hit roll for each Dagger or Dart you throw that has the same target.
