Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks from the Avon Sanctuary are often taught to harness the strength of their temple’s guardian. Dragon Turtles are known for their immense strength and power. Those who follow this tradition use their Ki to empower their strikes with this power and control large areas of the battlefield.

Dragon's Tongue

As part of your studies, you have learned to communicate with Avon himself. You can now speak, read, and write Draconic.

Fortifying Strike

Your special training at the sanctuary has lent you the knowledge needed to temporarily fortify yourself. When you hit a creature with an attack from your Flurry of Blows, you can spend 1 Ki Point to increase your AC by your proficiency modifier until the end of your next turn

Ki Tail

Your strength comes not only in your strikes but in being able to push opponents aside and control the field. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 2 ki points to gather your ki and force it out, mimicking a Dragon Turtle’s tail attack. Large or smaller creatures must make a Strength saving throw equal to your Ki Save DC or be pushed 15ft away from you and knocked prone.

Draconic Aura

As one of the most territorial creatures on the planet, their area of the defense is large. When you make an opportunity attack against a creature, you can add your WIS modifier to the damage roll.

Lungs of the Dragon

Your training has granted you the ability to use one of a Dragon Turtle’s deadliest attacks. You can spend 5 Ki Points to use a Dragon Turtle’s Steam Breath once per short rest. The save DC is equal to your Ki Save DC.

You exhale scalding steam in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Constitution saving throw against your Ki Save DC, taking 52 (15d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This damage is unaffected by the elements.
