Bard
Base Class: Bard

You were born into the life of a perfomer and been trained from childhood to partake and eventually inherit the family business, wether it is a stationary theatre, a traveling circus or a simple band of musicians with fame to them. The arts dont pay well, you know that and have found ways to lighten the purses of your audience off more than just the meager entry fee and stingy donations.

Bonus Proficiencies:

If you choose this at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the following skills:

  • Performance
  • Sleight of Hand
  • One skill of your choice

You also gain proficiency in two musical instruments of your choice.

Quick on your feet

Also at 3rd level, you gain the opportunity to speed up yourself and your allies. Your Bardic Inspiration die can be used to get extra movement based on the roll. The roll has to be made before base movement is used completely. Boni are detailed below:

D6: 1-3 = 5 feet of movement; 4-6 = 10 feet of movement

D8: 1-3 = 5 feet of movement; 4-6 = 10 feet of movement; 7-8 = 15 feet of movement

D10: 1-3 = 5 feet of movement; 4-6 = 10 feet of movement; 7-10 = 15 feet of movement

D12: 1-3 = 5 feet of movement; 4-7 = 10 feet of movement; 8-11 = 15 feet of movement; 12 = 20 feet of movement

Quick Thinking

Starting at Level 6, you can cast any non-concentration cantrip with a casting time of one action as a bonus action or reaction when you or an ally within 10 feet are attacked.

Quick Wits

Starting at Level 14, you can use your action to do one of the following things:

  • Insult: You insult a creature causing it to become enraged. In combat the affected creature will try to attack you or if not able get as close as possible to you in it´s next turn. Out of combat the affected creature is borderline hostile and might start a fight, which it otherwise would not have.
  • Flatter: You compliment a creature distracting it. In combat it loses it´s reaction untill the beginning of it´s next turn. Out of combat the affected creature is focused on you and has disadvantage on all perception checks regarding something other than you.
  • Disgust: You display or tell a creature something truly hideous. In combat the affected creature can´t willingly get closer to you until the end of it´s next turn. Out of combat basically the same.
  • Beg: You fall to your knees and beseech a creature for mercy. In combat the affected creature has disadvantage on it´s next attack and might spare you in it´s next AoE. Out of combat the affected creature is compelled to help you with maybe a small amount of money, shelter or a meal.
  • Shame: You conemn the actions of a creature loudly, causing it to be ashamed. In combat the next attack against the affected creature has advantage. Out of combat the affected creature is given something to think about and might make a change in it´s ways given time. Depending on the audience it´s reputation might suffer.

For all of the above the target has to fail a Charisma Save against your Spell DC. Creatures that are immune to being charmed or don´t share a language with you make the save automatically. Effects for out of combat scenarios are at the DM´s discretion.
