Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Metal use a style of music and magic that is loud, violent, and explosive in nature, tapping into dark and terrible secrets and emotions inside themselves and others. Bards of this college, due to their anti-conformity and violent power, are often shunned by the older, more traditional of their peers, who view the erratic and brutal nature of their craft as dark, rebellious, and evil. Despite this, these bards carry on in their ways, giving zero ****s.

Symphony of Destruction

When you join the College of Metal at 3rd level, you learn to use your music to inspire violence and destruction. Once per long rest, you may use your action to enter your symphony of destruction; choose a number of creatures up to half your bard level who can hear you within 60 feet. For the duration these creatures gain the following benefits:

  • The creature gains advantage on saves against being frightened or charmed.
  • The creature deals an additional amount of damage equal to your Charisma bonus on weapon attacks.
  • The creatures walking speed increases by 5.

During each of your turns, you must use your bonus action to maintain the symphony, for up to a maximum duration of a number of minutes equal to your bard level.

Inspire Violence

Also at 3rd level, the inspiration you give can release the rage and violence within those around you. When a creature that possesses one of your inspiration dice rolls damage on a weapon attack, they may spend the inspiration die to roll the die and add it to the damage total.

Raging Crowd

At 6th level, your power can call forth raging crowds. While maintaining your symphony of destruction, you may use your action to cause one of the effects below:

  • An additional creature you choose that can hear you within 60 feet comes under the effect of your symphony of destruction; this may be used multiple times and stack.
  • One creature currently under the effect of your symphony of destruction may (though they are not compelled to) immediately move up to half their movement and make a single weapon attack or take the shove action.
  • One creature currently under the effect of your symphony of destruction gains an amount of temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier; once a creature has gained this benefit, it may not gain it again until it has completed a short rest.

Wall of Death

Starting at 14th level, your symphony of destruction is vastly more potent. While under the effects of your symphony of destruction, creatures gain the additional benefits below:

  • The creature is immune to the frightened and charmed conditions and ignores the effects of exhaustion.
  • The creature gains a bonus to weapon attack damage equal to your Charisma modifier (total of 2 times your Charisma modifier).
  • The creatures walking speed increases by 10 (total +15).

In addition, while maintaining your symphony of destruction, at the start of each of your turns, all creatures you choose take an amount of thunder damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
