Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The Path of the Vengeful Warrior allows a barbarian to retaliate against their enemies with tremendous power. Barbarians of this path practice a form of primal magic which allows them to focus on creatures who are harmed and ensure that revenge can be claimed. Barbarians can use this in conjunction with their fury to become unstoppable forces of vengeance.

Barbarians of this path are often ones to hold grudges. If they are wronged, they will make sure that whoever hurt them gets their dues. Some Vengeful barbarians travel in tribes and actively pursue their quarries, whereas others stay alone, biding their time until they see the perfect opportunity to assault their enemies.

Vengeful Mark

Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to absorb the damage you take to force it back upon the person who dealt it. If a creature deals damage to you while you’re raging, you can use your reaction to mark the creature that damaged you. The next time you hit that creature with a weapon attack before the end of your next round, that attack does extra damage equal to the damage you took.

Spiteful Pursuit

At 6th level, you can ensure that your quarries never have the chance to run away. While your Vengeful Mark is active, you can use the Dash action as a bonus action on your turn. If you Dash in this way, you must use the extra movement given by the Dash action to move closer to the target you used your Vengeful Mark on.

Vengeful Vision

Beginning at 10th Level, your fury towards those who wronged you allows you to locate their position, even when they’ve attempted to run away. You can cast the Scrying spell, without using a spell slot, on any creature that has damaged you within the last 24 hours. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for this spell.

Once you cast this spell in this way, you can’t use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.

Retribution

At 14th Level, acquiring your vengeance grants you a renewed resolve. When a creature that you have used your Vengeful Mark on dies, you regain hit points equal to the damage that initially triggered your Vengeful Mark.
