Base Class: Wizard
A form of magic existing since the Primordial Era, created by the titan Ichor and perfected by the Neth. While there are many teachers of this profane magic, there are even fewer who live long enough to master it. Those who practice this form of magic often live solitary lives as many in civil society do not condone the practice. While there are no spells involving the blood element, the abilities instead use the blood of the caster to power their spells.
Sacrificial Dagger
At 2nd level you can perform a ritual to attune yourself to a dagger in your inventory, making it your Arcane Focus. You can only attune to one dagger at a time, can summon it from your body, and attuning to another dagger destroys the previous one. After performing the ritual the dagger and as long as you are wielding the dagger gains the following effects;
-The dagger does 2d4+ Spell attack modifier and deals necrotic damage. Criticals with the dagger heals you equal to the damage dealt.
-Whenever you cast a spell that deals thunder, poison, force, or lightning damage; you may change the damage to necrotic.
Blood-Curdle
At 2nd level when casting spells, you may sacrifice your hit points to cast your spells, ignoring the material cost (even if it has a gold cost). The hit points needed are equal to 10 times the spell’s level or the level being cast at. You cannot use temporary hit points to power this ability and can use this ability as long as you don’t fall below 1 hit point.
Bloodstone
Starting at 6th level, you can spend 8 hours creating a crimson stone that stores vitality from Ichor. You can benefit from the stone as the stone is in your possession, gaining the following benefits.
-The stone has maximum hit points equal to 5 times your wizard level and resistance to necrotic damage. The stone’s hit points do reset at the end of a long rest.
-Can use the stone’s hit points to power your Blood-Curdle ability.
-Killing a creature with your Sacrificial Dagger refuels the stone’s hit points equal to the damage dealt. Up to its maximum hit points.
Bloodbound
At 10th level, you have learned how to bound summoned creatures by your blood and control them through your will. Whenever you use your Blood-Curdle ability to cast a spell that summons a creature, it is not hostile to you or party members and negates any check to maintain control. Should you fall to 0 hit points, the spell ends, or dismiss the creature; it melts into a pool of blood relative to its size.
Blood from a Stone
At 14th level, you have mastered the power within your stone and can absorb the stone into your very being. The stone must be at half hit points, doing so destroys the stone and you gain one of the following effects;
-Restore your hit points equal to the stone’s and cures yourself of all poisons and diseases. You may activate this effect if you fall below 0 hit points but receive half the stone’s hit points.
-As an action, you may cast the Simulacrum spell without any components. The Simulacrum has hit points equal to the stone’s and is a copy of the caster, but cannot be healed by any means. It takes its turn after the caster in combat and can only cast cantrips known by the caster.
-You can morph your stone into a crimson spear that does damage equal to the stone’s hit points. The spear is a ranged attack, using your spell attack modifier, and deals necrotic damage if it hits.
