Base Class: Rogue
Rogues use all kinds of tools to get the job done, but none are as ubiquitous as the dagger. The dagger master hones their skill in this universal tool, using it with precision and mastery in all facets of their craft.
Dagger Finesse
Your skill with a dagger is unmatched, allowing you to use it more effectively. When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain the following benefits to attacking with a dagger:
- Your attacks use a d6 damage dice rather than a d4.
- Making a thrown attack at long range does not impose disadvantage on the attack.
- You may attack using a stowed dagger, drawing it as part of the attack without requiring an additional action.
The Universal Tool
Your skill and adaptability at using daggers is not only useful in combat but also extends to many other activities in which Rogues often partake. At 3rd level, you may use a set of daggers of varying shapes and sizes as a substitute for thieves' tools.
You are considered proficient with expertise for ability checks you make using this feature.
Flurry of Daggers
At 9th level, your swiftness with a dagger allows you to throw many of them in quick succession. As an action, you can make a number of thrown dagger attacks up to half your rogue level (rounded up), provided you have a dagger in a quickly accessible location for each attack.
You may focus or split the attacks between any targets in range as you choose, but any additional damage and effects (including ability modifier damage) can only be applied once to each target. Also, you cannot apply your sneak attack bonus on the same turn that you use this ability.
Using this ability requires both hands, so you cannot use it if you are holding anything other than daggers. Once you use it, you cannot use it again for one minute.
Double Strike
At 13th level, your skill with dual wielding daggers allows you to strike quickly and slip away unseen. While you are wielding only daggers, engaging in two-weapon fighting does not expend a bonus action. (You can still only do this once per turn after taking the Attack action).
Backstab
At 17th level, your ability to strike a target's weak points allows you to land devastating blows. When you have advantage on a melee attack you make with a dagger and both rolls would hit the target, you may convert the attack into a critical hit. If you do, the target becomes immune to further uses of this feature by you for one hour.
