Base Class: Wizard
Wielding primordial powers beyond the imagining of lesser minds, a dinomancer can reach into the dino-dimension for aid whenever dire circumstances manifest. This assistance most often takes the form of reptiles from tiny to tyrannical, but a skilled practitioner can also draw out ancient dino-might from their most ancient of ancestry. These most dinomic of wizards are experts at taming dinosaurs and uncovering ancient bones.
Many dinomancers learned their art at the Jurassium College, founded by the legendary wizard Hammond Silverbloom. Situated on a remote island, far from prying eyes, where dinosaurs roam (mostly) free.
Diplodomacy
Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, you gain proficiency in the animal handling skill. In addition you gain advantage to any animal handling, persuasion and intimidation checks made when interacting with a reptilian creature.
Minor Dinomancy
Starting at 2nd level when you select this school, you can use your action to conjure up a tiny velociraptor in your hand or on the ground in an unoccupied space that you can see within 10 feet of you. The velociraptor is visibly magical, radiating dim light out to 5 feet.
The velociraptor disappears after 1 hour, when you use this feature again, or if it is reduced to zero hitpoints.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier. Uses are restored after taking a long rest.
Paleantology
Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, you gain proficiency in the history skill.
Dino-might
Starting at 6th level, you can use your bonus action to fill yourself with primordial power and let out a mighty roar, gaining 5+class level temporary hitpoints. In addition your size doubles in all dimensions, and your weight is multiplied by eight. This growth increases your size by one category - from Medium to Large, for example. If there isn't enough room for the target to double its size, you attain the maximum possible size in the space available. Until the spell ends, you also have advantage on Strength Checks and Strength Saving Throws. Your Weapons also grow to match your new size. While these Weapons are enlarged, your Attack with them deal 1d4 extra damage.
This effect lasts for 1 minute, using this ability multiple times extends the duration by 1 minute but does not increase the effect. This feature can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. Uses are restored once you finish a long rest.
Focused Dinomancy
Beginning at 10th level, while you are concentrating on any spell that has a dinosaur-related effect, your concentration can’t be broken as a result of taking damage.
Tyrant of Lizards
Starting at 14th level when you select this school, you can use your action to transform a number of creatures equal to your intelligence modifier into dinosaurs of your choosing for 1 minute. The targets must be within 30 feet of you, and unwilling targets may choose to make a charisma saving throw equal to your spell save DC in order to resist the effect, this saving throw can be repeated at the end of each of the target's turns.
Transformed creatures retain their mental faculties and statistics, but their physical statistics are those of the form they have assumed. The target's gear melds into the new form. The creature can't activate, use, wield, or otherwise benefit from any of its equipment. The creature is limited in the actions it can perform by the nature of its new form, and it can't speak, cast spells, or take any other action that requires hands or speech. The transformation lasts for the duration, or until the target drops to 0 hit points or dies.
The target assumes the hit points of its new form. When it reverts to its normal form, the creature returns to the number of hit points it had before it transformed. If it reverts as a result of dropping to 0 hit points, any excess damage carries over to its normal form. As long as the excess damage doesn't reduce the creature's normal form to 0 hit points, it isn't knocked unconscious.
You can use this feature once per long rest. The effect of this feature requires concentration to maintain.
