When you rage, you can choose to go into a Bloodlust. If you do so, you can immediately spend up to a number of Blood Dice equal to your proficiency bonus. You take damage equal to the total rolled, your maximum hit points are also reduced by the same amount, this damage and reduction can not be avoided or reduced in any way and could potentially knock you unconscious or kill you.
For the duration of the Bloodlust, you gain a +1 bonus to melee damage for each die spent. The reduction to your maximum hit points lasts until the Bloodlust ends, your current hit points do not change.
You regain all expended Blood Dice when you finish a long rest.
