Base Class: Fighter
Magic is a devastating tool on the battlefield, A single mage can cut through hundreds of men with a single spell. And for that very reason a breed of fighter has been bred to directly counter magic users. Abjurers and war mages can counterspell stopping possible damage, but an spell- eater knight can turn magic back upon its user to devastating effect.
Spell-Eater
Choose a weapon from your inventory to become your spell-eater. the weapon must be a simple or martial melee weapon and you much be wielding it in order to use the special reaction granted by the "consume spell" feature or the "arcane release" feature. If another feature expends a use of either of these features you must be wielding your Spell eater to use it. This weapon counts as magical for the sake of over coming resistances. If this weapon is lost or stolen you may choose a new weapon to imbue a new weapon over the course of a long rest, but you may only have one spell eater, and any consumed spells apply only to the spell eater weapon that was being held when the feature was used.
Consume Spell
As a special reaction to being the only target of a spell or magical effect which would deal damage to you with no other effects you may make an intelligece check. The DC for this check equals the spell level + 10, or remains the same if the trigger was a magical effect. If the triggering effect would cause you to make a save, this check replaces it, though it still expends your reaction. Upon a successful check the spell or magical effect deals no damage to you and you consume the spell. If you fail this check you take full damage as if you failed the save or were hit by the spell attack. You may consume a number of spells equal to your proficiency modifier and your number of consumed spells reverts to 0 after a long rest. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier and gain all expended uses back after a long rest.
Arcanic Release
When you deal melee damage you may choose to expend a consumed spell. When you do deal an additional amount of force damage equal to your intelligence modifier.
Devour the Haze
As a reaction to a Charisma, Wisdom, or Intelligence saving throw against a spell or magical effect which would not cause you damage you may expend a use of your Consume spell feature and add a d4 to your saving throw. If you succeed on the save the spell is consumed. The size of the dice granted by this feature increases to a d6 at 15th level.
Antimagic Zone
You may use your "consume spell" feature when you are within the area of effect of an area of effect spell or magical effect that only deals damage. The effects of your "consume spell" feature only extend to you, and you cannot negate damage to other players effected by the triggering spell.
Static Sending
You may make a special melee attack with a range of 15ft. You are proficient with the attack and can use str or dex as the ability modifier for the attack roll. The attack deals 1d4 psychic damage + your int mod. If it hits the target they are at disadvantage on their next attack roll and If they are concentrating on a spell they are at disadvantage for the concentration roll. This attack can replace one of the attacks made with the attack action, though you can only use this attack once per turn.
Ravenous Hunger
You regain all expend uses of your consume spell feature after a short rest.
