Base Class: Fighter
The Arboreal Defender allies with tree spirits in order to defend them and their forest homes.
Nature Linguist
Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Nature skill, and you know the Druidcraft cantrip.
Vine Volley
Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast Ensnaring Strike at will as a bonus action on each of your turns.
Barkskin
Starting at 3rd level, you may cast Barkskin at will and do not have to concentrate on it.
Earthly Ears
Starting at 7th level, you can cast Speak with Plants at will.
If you are within 5 feet of a non-sentient tree, as a reaction after an attack against you is declared but before the attack is rolled, you can have that tree guard you, (through vines, branches, or its trunk) imposing disadvantage on the attack.
Additionally, you can use your action to command a non-sentient tree to attempt to restrain a target within 5 feet of it. A restrained creature can attempt a STR saving throw on its turn against your WIS Spell Save DC, being freed on a success.
Guardian of Nature
At 10th level, you can cast Guardian of Nature once per short rest.
Woodland Bulwark
Starting at 15th level, while in Forest terrain, you may take the dash action as a bonus action and are unaffected by difficult terrain. You also gain advantage on ability checks made when climbing trees or jumping to and from trees.
Additionally, you may cast Wall of Thorns once per short rest.
Spirit of the Forest
At 18th level, you can cast Tree Stride as a bonus action, and you can continue to reuse the transportation ability as a bonus action. You may cast Tree Stride using this feature once per short rest.
