College of Slapstick

The Slapstick Bard, more commonly known as a Stooge, has spent years training their body and honing their wits to entertain the crowds. While generally considered low brow performers by the high class, Stooges are enjoyed by the working class. The Slapstick Bards pride themselves in their ability to take a hit on stage and in battle, and are always willing to get into the middle of a scrum.

When you select this college at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the War hammer.

Hard Headed

You're experience with physical humor has granted you the ability to take plenty of abuse. At 3rd Level, whenever you are struck with a physical attack you can use your reaction to spend an inspiration die to reduce the damage. Roll the die and add your bard level for reduced damage. You are also resistant to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from non-magical weapons.

Double Take

After years of slapping around fellow Stooges, you have learned to turn your failed attacks into successes. At 3rd level, whenever you miss with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to spend a bardic inspiration to attack again. Reroll the d20 with the inspiration die. If the attack hits add your charisma modifier to the damage total.

Extra Attack

At 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, when you take the Attack action on your turn.

Chronic Slapstick

For years, Schadenfreude has been the source of your success in entertaining others. Now it will be the bane of your enemies. At 14th level, whenever you defeat an enemy you regain a bardic inspiration die. You also regain an inspiration if an enemy is defeated within 10 feet of you. You can not gain more than your max amount of bardic inspiration.
