Base Class: Fighter
The archetypal Marshal is not only a warrior - they are symbols of law, justice, or simple inevitability, trained in a variety of techniques to bring down those foes who least want to be caught. Marshals are experts in the arts of submission and restraint. Some put their skills to use on fugitives from the judgment of society - others against monsters mighty enough to demand unconventional techniques when faced in open combat.
Bring to Heel
Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you can attempt to lasso a creature no more than one size larger than you and that is not formless (such as most oozes and some undead). You must have a length of rope, chain, or other binding material of sufficient length to reach the creature in question.
Treat this as a ranged attack with a martial weapon that has the thrown (range 15/30) property. A lasso deals no damage. Instead, the creature you hit is restrained until they escape the lasso or you release them (no action required). A creature can use its action to make a Strength check to free itself or another creature within its reach. Dealing (5 + your fighter level) slashing damage to the lasso also frees the creature without harming it, ending the effect and destroying the item used as a lasso; your lassos have an AC of 10 + your proficiency modifier.
You can only lasso one creature at a time. If you are incapacitated, paralyzed, or stunned, you automatically release any creatures restrained by your lasso.
As a bonus action on your turn, you can drag a creature you have restrained with a lasso up to 10 feet closer to you.
Tenacity
At 7th level, you have advantage on attempts to shove or grapple creatures.
No Escape
Starting at 10th level, you can't be charmed or frightened by creatures you have restrained or grappled, or who are prone and within 5 feet of you.
Further, such creatures cannot teleport or be teleported against your will.
Dragon Wrangler
At 15th level, you can lasso, shove, or grapple creatures of any size, and the range of your lasso attempts increases to 30/60.
Total Lockdown
At 18th level, you can have up to three creatures restrained by your lassos at a time. When you use a bonus action to drag creatures you have restrained with your lasso, you can choose to pull one creature up to 30 feet closer or all creatures 10 feet closer.
