Base Class: Sorcerer
You were born with a demonic force in your blood, whether part of your heritage, or you were cursed with this power. Your magic is connected to the layers of Hell and prove to be an effective force to be reckoned with.
Tongue of Avernus
1st-level Hellfire Magic feature
Starting when you choose this origin at 1st level, you know the language of the devils. You can speak, read, and write Infernal and Abyssal.
Phlegethos Flame
1st-level Hellfire Magic feature
At 1st level, you can reach into Hell and summon a flame underneath a single target enemy. When you cast a spell at 1st level or higher, you can use a bonus action to summon a flame underneath a target creature you can see within 30 feet. That creature must make a Dexterity Saving Throw. On a failure, they take 1d6 fire damage, or half as much on a success.
This feature's damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6).
Chains From Dis
6th-level Hellfire Magic feature
At 6th level, you can create chains to imprison creatures with your magic skill. As an action, you can target a number of creatures of Large size or smaller within 30 feet equal to your Charisma modifier (Minimum of one). These creatures must make a Strength Saving Throw or be restrained for 1 minute. Each creature can reattempt their saving throw at the end of their turn.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it until you finish a long rest.
Bog of Minauros
14th-level Hellfire Magic feature
At 14th level, you gain the ability to summon an entity from the depths of Minauros. As a bonus action, you can summon a Bog creature from Minauros. It has hit points equal to 5 times your charisma modifier and an Armor Class of 8. On your subsequent turns, you can use a bonus action to have this creature move up to 15 feet and strike at a creature with a melee attack. It has a hit bonus equal to your charisma modifier and your proficiency bonus, and deals fire damage equal to 2d6+your charisma modifier.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest, or unless you spend 3 sorcery points to regain a use.
Power of Nessus
18th-level Hellfire Magic feature
At 18th level, you can unleash the raw power of Hell. As an action, you can create an explosion of Hellfire all around you. Each creature of your choice within 15 feet of you must make a Constitution Saving Throw. On a failure, a creature takes 4d8 fire damage and is considered burning with Hellfire for 1 minute. While burning with this feature, a creature takes 1d6 fire damage at the start of their turn. That creature or another creature within 5 feet can use an action to put out the flames early and end the effect. A creature takes half damage and isn't considered burning on a successful saving throw. This feature ignores resistance to fire damage.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it until you finish a long rest.
