Monk
Base Class: Monk

Have you ever wanted to feel what it's like to be a Magikarp, but in Dungeons and Dragons? If course not, but here you go anyways.

It is said in legends that if a Magikarp could jump up a waterfall and over a gate at the top, it will transform into a dragon. Now, for a fish the size of Magikarp, this is no small feat. Monks that practice the Way of the Magikarp monastic tradition do so to unlock their ki and become one with the universe and metaphorically transform into a dragon. However, they must first suppress their ki so it can well up and grow in intensity.

Uselessness

Starting at 3rd level, you suppress your ki and cannot gain any new features from the Monk class except for the ones from this subclass, unless otherwise stated.

The First Gate

At 6th level, you have managed to overcome the First Gate. You gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed.

The Second Gate

At 11th level, you have managed to overcome the Second Gate. You gain all base Monk class features up to level 6.

The Third Gate

At 17th level, you have managed to overcome the Third Gate. You have unlocked the full power of the universe and can channel it through your body.

You regain access to all Monk class features up to level 17, and can gain Monk features as normal.

You gain resistance to all damage.

Your Evasion class feature works for all saving throws.

You gain advantage on all saving throws and ability checks.

You gain proficiency with all saving throws and ability checks.

You gain a flying speed equal to double your walking speed. You cannot fall while you are flying, even if you are stunned, restricted, unconscious, etc.

Lastly, you can spend 1 ki point and use an action to fire a magical beam of universal energy in a direction of your choice. Each creature of your choice within a 5 foot by 600 foot line must make a DC 25 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, creatures are dropped to 0 hit points and instantly vaporized. On a successful save, creatures take 20d10 force damage. If a creature is dropped to 0 hit points after taking this damage, they are instantly vaporized.
