Base Class: Monk
This is a lightning based monk homebrew
One with lightning (1)
Gain lightning damage resistance
form
you can use 1 ki point to add lightning damage equal to your wisdom modifier to your unarmed attacks and metal weapons for 1 minute.
Storm bolt
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can hurl bolts of magical lightning. You gain a ranged spell attack that you can use with the Attack action. The attack has a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is lightning, and its damage die is a d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. when you use the Attack action on your turn to use this special attack, you can spend 1 ki point to make two extra attacks as bonus action.
Jolt
At 6th level, you can channel your ki to become one with a lightning bolt.in place of movement you can spend 2 ki point as a bonus action to teleport up to your full movement speed in a single line without triggering attack of opportunity. Any creatures on this line have to make a dex save or take 2d6 lightning damage
This technique can be used to travel to the edges of a storm by becoming one with the electric energy in the storm.
One with lightning (2)
At lvl 6 you can automatically ignore lightning resistance and overcome lightning immunity for 2 ki points per technique. You add these 2 ki points to the cost of the technique (this functions for the entirety of the duration of a technique)
Lightning pulse
At 11th level you have learned the finer effects of lightning. When you use your Stunning Strike, your opponent has disadvantage on their saving throw.
you may also expend 2 ki point to release a 15 ft. pulse of electricity originating from yourself as an action. Any creature in range must make a Constitution save. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d8 lightning damage and is stunned for a number of rounds equal to your wisdom modifier, if the target is wearing metal armour they will have disadvantage on the save. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and isn't stunned.
One with lightning (3)
At lvl 17 you gain immunity to lightning
Thunder god's wrath
At 17th level, You may expend 8 ki points to create a massive electrical ray that hits any creature in a 300 foot line. Any creature on this line has to make a constitution saving throw and takes 12d8 lightning damage. If they fail the roll the creature is stunned for a number of rounds equal to your wisdom modifier if succeeded the creature is not stunned and they take half damage. Any creature within 5 feet of the line has to make a dexterity saving throw. If failed they take 8d8 lightning damage and are stunned for a number of rounds equal to your wisdom modifier while if they succeed they take half damage and are not stunned
