Monk
Base Class: Monk

Followers of the Way of the Firecracker are found across the world, enrapturing crowds and hearts with their mesmerising dance. Frequently their training and backgrounds are a mystery to all that come across them, their names hidden by pseudonym or reputation. They have often served, knowingly or elsewise, as muses to the artists and writers who watch their performances, and artwork depicting their incredible talent can be found in the private collections of the wealthiest merchants. Without a doubt, however, they will one day vanish from the places they visit without a trace. In their wake they leave nothing but hushed rumour, stolen hearts, and those inspired by their beautiful artistry that eagerly await the return of 'their Firecracker'.

Ember Dance

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn the steps of the dance that will harness the imagination and wonder of those you meet. You gain the following benefits:

  • You gain proficiency with the Stealth and Performance skill.
  • You can add your Wisdom modifier to your Charisma ability checks.
  • When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike you can spend 1 ki point to empower your unarmed strikes for a minute (no action required). While empowered, your unarmed strikes deal additional fire or lightning damage equal to your proficiency bonus (you choose which damage type to deal when you hit).

Illustrious Dance

At 6th level, you gain the ability to unify and harmonise the attention of your allies. All creatures of your choice within 15 feet of you have advantage on Wisdom saving throws and Constitution saving throws to maintain their Concentration. When an ally within 15 feet of you succeeds at a Wisdom saving throw or a Concentration saving throw, both you and that ally gain temporary hit points equal to one roll of your martial arts die.

At 17th level, the aura of your Illustrious Dance ability increases to 30 feet.

Ignited Dance

Starting at 11th level, your dance becomes inspiring to all who see it, pushing them to greater feats. When you make an attack against a creature, whether you hit or not, you can give a creature within 30 feet of you a die of inspiration. This die equals your martial arts die. Once within the next 10 minutes, the creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls the d20 before deciding to use the die, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. Once the die is rolled, it is lost. A creature can have only one such die at a time.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, but you can use this feature additional times by spending a ki point for each additional time. You regain any expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Fabled Legacy

Starting at 17th level, the tales told of your presence will enrapture the hearts and minds of people for years to come. The inspiration die granted by your Ignited Dance now last indefinitely until used. At your choice, when you give a creature this die, you may choose for them to not know that they have been given it. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to teleport to an unoccupied space within 30 feet of an individual that has one of your inspiration die on the same place of existence as you. Doing so removes the inspiration die from that creature. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses after seven days of not using this feature.

In addition, you do not age while a creature on the same place of existence of you has an inspiration die you have granted by this feature.
