Base Class: Barbarian
There’s a reason why an angry mother bear is seen as one of the most dangerous beasts to encounter in the wild. The power that comes from love and the will to defend those close is strong and primal. A barbarian who draws this strength from it can find the strength they would never reach otherwise.
Role of the Protector
After a long rest, you may either add creature as your Charge, or release your protection from an existing Charge. At any given time, you can look after as many Charges as 1+ your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). this is increased by 1 at 9th level, and again at 14th level.
If someone hurts one of your Charges, you may immediately use your reaction to attack that creature if you are able to do so. If you are raging and within 5 feet of both your charge and their attacker, the attack on your charge has disadvantage.
Also, touching one of your charges and spending an action, you can heal them hit points up to twice your level. At the same time, you take damage equal to what you healed them. Once you have used this healing ability, you can not do so again until you have taken a short or long rest.
Aid
When you reach 6th level in this Path, you can use the Help action as a bonus action if you are helping a Charge while you are rage. Further, you can do this up to a distance of 30 feet, provided you can see the Charge. This preserves your state of rage, even if you don’t attack anyone, provided your Charge uses the help to make an attack.
Return to Home
At 10th level as a Loving Protector, you can cast Revivify on one of your Charges, should they fall. You must still provide the material component and once you have used this ability, you can’t use it again for 7 days.
Also, if any of your Charges reaches 0 hit points, if you make an attack action against the one who took your Charge down, you may perform an additional attack as a bonus action on your next turn.
Provokation
When you have progressed to 14th level, you can make enemies focus on you instead of your Charges. When you are raging and someone is about to attack one of your Charges and they could attack you instead, you can use your reaction to force the attacker to make a Wisdom saving throw against 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier. If they fail, they must attack you instead of your Charge.

Searched through a lot of the homebrews to find one that encapsulated something mama-bear-esque and to find this? This is exactly what I was looking for, right down to it. Big fan :)
Thank you! And thank you for the feedback!
Dude! Hell yeah this looks amazing!
