Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Still Body are masters stillness and peace of mind. To practitioners of this tradition, it seems unnecessary to try and move another to do what you want. Rather, these monks foster a calm presence and unbending will, such that they can plant their feet to the ground and be unwavering to the world around them. Practitioners of this tradition learn a number of body movement poses and sequences which aids in controlling the flow of ki within their body.
Crescent Moon Dance
You have mastered the art of moving in slow, graceful patterns which act to calm those who watch your performance. Starting at 3rd level, you learn the Friends cantrip and you can spend 2 ki points to cast Charm Person and 3 ki points to cast Calm Emotions. When cast this way, these spells do not require vocal or material components and your ki save DC is used for the spell save DC. A creature which cannot see you automatically succeeds on its saving throw against spells cast using this feature.
Rooted Stance
At 6th level, you are able to plant your feet firmly and hold your ground against the forces of mortals and magic. As a bonus action at the start of your turn, you can empower your foundation granting a +2 bonus to your AC until the start of your next turn. When you do this, your speed becomes 0 for the remainder of your turn.
Additionally, whenever you are subjected to an effect which would move you against your will or knock you prone, you can spend 1 ki point using your reaction to reduce the distance you would be moved by 10 feet or to remain standing.
Disarming Gestures
Starting at 11th level, whenever you hit a creature with an attack made with a monk weapon or an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 ki point to force the target to drop one item it is carrying in one or both of its hands. If the creature is carrying one item in each of its hands, you choose which item it drops.
Additionally, whenever you stun or charm another creature using a feature fueled by your ki, you can choose to force it to drop an item in the same way without expending any additional ki points.
Enlightening Meditation
Separating yourself from rage, hatred, and other vices leads you to a greater connection to the cosmic weave. At 17th level, you can spend 1 hour in a meditative trance focusing yourself on the world around you. After finishing this meditation, you can choose to expend up to 5 ki points to reveal some great magical wisdom. When you do so, you temporarily prepare a spell from the Cleric or Druid spell list whose level is equal to the number of ki points spent and does not have material components with a listed cost. You are then able to cast the prepared spell once within the next 8 hours, ignoring any material components required. You can only have one spell prepared in this way at a time and lose any spell you have prepared through this feature when you finish a long rest.
