Base Class: Ranger
Bounty hunters in many ways are ideal adventurers they are typically brave, cunning, loyal and skilled....for the right price of course. Bounty hunters are also incredibly versatile perhaps you were a member of an exclusive guild trained by a mentor and honouring a creed. Perhaps you're freelance taking what work you care to and setting your own prices.
As for alignment bounty hunters can fall anywhere those in a guild might be lawful where as freelance hunters may be more chaotic in their conduct. Regardless of this due to the nature of their work they're almost always neutral when it comes to good and evil.
Urban Hunter
At third level in this subclass you gain a new favoured terrain (Urban) this terrain consists of any type of village, town, city or other settlement. Furthermore you can choose 1 creature to mark as your target. While marked in this way you gain advantage on survival checks to track them you also cannot be surprised by your target while you are conscious. You can change your target each day an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus. To mark a creature you must be familiar with it for example you must have a detailed description of the creature, its name or a picture of it and it must be on the same plane of existence to you. The mark lasts for 24 hours unless you choose to end it sooner.
You cant run forever
Starting at 7th level you gain humanoids as a favoured enemy if you already selected humanoids as a favoured enemy you may choose another kind from: beasts, fey, monstrosities and undead. You also have no issue following tracks left by a creature when making survival checks to track a creature that is considered to be one of your favoured enemies you gain advantage on the roll. If there is a blood or similar trail left by the creature and it has not been washed away you automatically succeed the survival check.
No escape
Starting at 11th level when you mark a creature with your hunters mark spell (which you learn at this level if you do not already have it) you can make opportunity attacks against them even if they take the disengage action. On top of this the marked creature cannot benefit from any cover other than total from your attacks and abilities.
I'm coming for you
Starting at 15th level when you mark a creature as your target you cannot lose their tracks unless by magical means provided they are on the same plane of existence as you. When your target is on a different plane of existance to you you can make a survival check DC=10+the targets stealth modifier to see which plane of existance they are on though this does not reveal their exact location. If the target is native to that plane you have disadvantage on the roll. additionally when you attack your target they take an extra 2D6 damage (of the weapon damage type) from the attack once per turn.
