Base Class: Ranger
The Dead Hearts are people who have had their soul decaded, destroyed or they were killed. If a creature survives those ordials they become a Dead Heart. Rangers who were killed and had something keeping them alive whether it be a patron, their own will, or just plane luck they will awaken as a Dead Heart.
Dead Heart Magic
You gain the following spells
Inflict Wounds (3rd level)
Blindness/Deafness (5th level)
Bestow Curse (9th level)
Blight (13th level)
Raise Dead (17th level)
Dead Man's Curse
Starting at 3rd level you are considered an undead creature type in addition to your default creature types. You gain advantage on constitution saving throws against poison and gain resistance to poison damage. Additionally you no longer need sleep, eat, drink or breath, instead of sleeping you can take 4 hours of inactivity to gain the benefits of a long rest.
Deaths Veil
Starting at 3rd level you may coat your body in a veil of darkness and death as a bonus action for 1 minute. Upon first activating the veil all creatures within 30ft of you that is aware of your presence must make a wisdom saving throw (Spell DC) or be frightened of you so long as you have your veil active. When the veil is active all attacks made may add an additional 1d4 necrotic damage (Increasing to 2d4 at 11th level).
You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Death's Will
Starting at 7th level you may cast dominate monster using you spell casting modifier, the target of this spell must have the undead creature type.
Once you use this feature you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.
Cursed strike
Starting at 11th level, once per turn while your veil is active, you can extend the reach of any weapon attack by 15ft, when you do so all damage dealt by the attack becomes necrotic.
Protective Veil
Starting at 15th level, while your veil is active you gain resistance to necrotic damage, become immune to poison damage and cannot be poisoned.
