Base Class: Fighter
Military tactics have taught you to become a better fighter.
Your years of service have honed your skills in warfare. As an Eccentric Kaizen you gain improvements in your fighting talents and techniques.
Battle Tactics
You have learned to overcome your limits and move through battle like a raven. You gain the following maneuvers that you can use a number of times equal to your strength or dexterity modifier (min. of 1). But you can only choose one maneuver to use for each of your turns including reactions.
Limitless: When you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to avoid the damage. Roll 1d20 + your strength or dexterity modifier. If it is higher than the attacker's attack roll you instead take no damage. If it is less than the attack roll you take the total damage minus your constitution or dexterity modifier.
Guiding attack: Before or after making an attack roll, you can increase your chance to hit the target. You can add your strength or dexterity modifier to the attack roll of one weapon that your not proficient in. That does not already add your strength or dexterity modifier.
Misdirection: When the target misses you with an attack, you can use your reaction to redirect their weapon back towards them or their ally that are within 5 feet of them. You make the attack roll adding your strength or dexterity modifier to the roll to determine if the misdirected attack hits or misses.
*Meteor Strike:
When moving at least 10 feet to attack, you can target your attack at two enemies at the same time as a full-round action. You gain no additional attacks including extra attacks and your speed becomes 0 for this turn.
Make a melee attack roll for each target. If both hit, you can use the same damage for each creature. For each successful attack, the creature must make a Strength saving throw. If they fail they are pushed 10 feet back. If they pass they are not pushed back.
Additionally, if the creature failed their Strength save, they also need to make a Wisdom saving throw. If they fail, they are frightened of you until the end of your next turn. If they pass they are not frightened.
* Once you use this talent, it can be regained after a short rest.
Organized Mind
When you are affected by a mind-affecting spell or effect that targets your mind. You can choose to resist this spell or effect. Roll 1d20 and add your intelligence or wisdom modifier. If this is higher than the creature or targets DC then you gain resistance to their mind-affecting spell and effect from them. Choose one creature or target of your choice.
Once you use this feature, it can be regained after a short rest.
Battle Stance
In your combat drills, you have learned how to prepare yourself for incoming attacks against your opponent. You learn two defensive moves.
Partial defense:
While wielding a single-handed weapon in one hand and a shield in the other. You can take the brunt of some attacks and gain a +2 to your AC. But only can make one single attack or action on this turn.
Full defense:
With your shield you can take the full force of an attack and gain +4 to your AC. You cannot make an attack or take an action on this turn and your movement speed is 0 until the start of your next turn.
Severed Strike
Choose one favored melee weapon of your choice. As a Bonus Action, you can make a second attack as part of your action. When you make a successful attack on your second attack you can add your modifier to the damage roll. Additionally, the creature must make a wisdom save. On a failure, they become paralyzed. On a success, they are not paralyzed and fall prone. The damage dealt cannot be healed by healing spells and the creature must take a short or long rest to recover from the damage.
Once you use this feature, it can be regained after a short rest
Resolve
Your experiences have taught you to resist magical spells and effects. When you are targeted by a magical spell or effect, you can roll your saving throw with advantage. You can choose to use this with the Organized Mind or Severed Strike and add disadvantage to the creatures saves but will still require to take a long rest.
Additionally, when you run out of uses for your Battle Tactics, you can use one or all of them one additional time per day.
This ability can be used once per day and can be regained after a long rest.
Fighting Form
When outnumbered by multiple enemies you know how to switch between attack and defense. You can perform the following abilities when only you are targeted by multiple enemies.
- gain +4 AC to each attacker that targets only you during this turn
- make a melee attack against each enemy within 5 feet or make a range attack at each enemy within 10 feet that move towards you.
- make an opportunity attack against each target, when more than one target moves 5 feet away from you
