Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of Innovation sets a paladin on the path of  creation for the purposes of expanding the influence of their deity and gaining renowned. Paladins who dedicate themselves to this oath believe that a person is judged not by their words, but by their great works and the legacy that they leave behind. These paladins create new innovations and use them to slay their enemies, so that their creations become a religious beacon to followers of their deities. The goal is to create  holy artifacts to be revered. Paladins who follow this path are known as Divine Architects, but are often referred to as Architects for short.

Architects know that undead, demons, devils, and other supernatural threats pose a great danger should they somehow obtain their great works. Against such foes, paladins who swear this oath bring the full wrath of their weapons and spells to bear. They also know that using their creations on such foes, is the best way for their deity to judge the worthiness of their creations.

TENETS OF INNOVATION

The tenets of the Oath of Innovation hold a paladin to a life of creation, the pursuit of perfection, and a quest to achieve fame and glory.

Invention. An individual's great works should be what they are judged on. Those who have walked a path of wickedness must be made an example of, but those with the skills to create must protect the world from itself. They craft in order to leave a legacy behind so that a hero will have the tools to protect the world after they are no longer there to protect it.

Prosperity. Many religious paths discourage individuals from gaining wealth. But money is just another tool to be utilized in order to gain influence and to create more powerful items. Those who choose to be Architects strive not only to gain wealth, but try to gain notoriety in order to create a masterpiece that will live on after they have long turned to dust.

Trade. Trade is an important tenet as it is the only way to truly spread the good works of an Architect's creations to the world. Architects are master negotiators, and are not only great at buying and selling goods but also resolving disputes.
