Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of this tradition focus their attacks on blocking the natural flow of Ki in their enemies bodies, striking in the most strategic of places to hinder or disable their opponents. These monks often work as bodyguards and soldiers, using their tactical training to help keep the peace wherever they go. Mastering the Way of the Crippling Blow takes outstanding discipline and patience, as well as unparalleled precision.

Debilitating Precision

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can harness your control of Ki to weaken your enemies. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can attempt to enfeeble your opponent. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw vs your Ki save DC. On a failed save, the target must subtract a d4 from all of its attack rolls and saving throws. At the end of each of it's turns, the target can repeat the saving throw. The effect ends when the target succeeds on its saving throw or after 1 minute.

Blinding Jab

At 6th level, you gain the ability to strike with such force and accuracy that your opponent temporarily loses their vision. When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can spend 1 Ki point to force the target to make a Constitution saving throw. If it fails, the target is blinded. At the end of each of its turns, it can repeat the saving throw. The effect ends when the target succeeds on its saving throw or after 1 minute. A creature that does not rely on sight, such as with blindsight or tremorsense, is unaffected.

Counterstrike

At 11th level, your unique ability to disrupt the flow of energy allows you to interrupt even skilled spellcasters. When a creature within 30ft of you casts a spell, you can use your reaction to spend 3 ki points to attempt to cancel that spell. You can move up to your movement speed to get within melee range of the target. If the spell is of third level or lower, it is automatically cancelled. If the spell is higher than third level, make a Wisdom check against a DC of 10+ the level of the spell being cast. On a success, the spell is successfully cancelled and has no effect. You can choose to spend more Ki points to automatically cancel a higher level spell, with the amount of Ki points spend equaling or exceeding the level of the spell being cast.

Disrupt Cognition

At 17th level, you can influence your opponents ability to fight effectively. When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can use 5 Ki points to attempt to disrupt their abilities. The creature makes an intelligence saving throw vs your Ki save DC. The creature takes an extra 8d6 psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. After a failed save, the target must subtract a d6 from every attack roll, ability check, and saving throw for the next minute. In addition, the target has disadvantage on Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration on a spell. The target can repeat the Intelligence saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
