Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Luminous Mind specialise in bridging the gap between their minds and being one with the universe. They focus on enlightenment and the perfect self, hoping to excel their bodies to the point that they may one day no longer require physical form.
Teachings of the Luminous Mind are designed to advance the students by opening their minds to the universe, and learning to block out needless disturbances so that they may understand themselves. They are taught that through understanding, all possibilities can be made certain.
One with All
After choosing this path at level 3, you begin to understand the connectedness between yourself and all other lifeforms, and can bend it to your will.
Once per turn, you can spend 1 ki point to make your next unarmed strike against any creature you can see within your movement speed as if you were within melee range of them.
This ability also applies to creatures you would not be able to normally reach, such as flying creatures.
However, this ability is blocked by total cover granted by physical and magical barriers, such as a pane of glass or the Wall of Force spell.
Infer Ability
Once you reach 6th level, you gain the ability to tap into the forms of your enemies and realise their power. When you hit a creature with two attacks on your turn, you can force them to make a Constitution saving throw with a DC equal to your Ki save DC. On a failure, you can learn one piece of information about them from this list:
- Amount of attacks per turn
- Condition immunities
- Constitution score
- Creature type
- Damage immunities
- Intelligence score
- Strength saving throw modifier
- Wisdom saving throw modifier
You can use this ability once per turn.
Ignore the Physical
At 11th level, you learn to transpose yourself between realities, and surrender physical form. You can spend an action to displace yourself between the physical and ethereal plane, gaining a transparent quality, remaining visible on both sides.
Until the start of your next turn, you cannot be moved or interacted with physically, you are incapacitated, your speed is 0, you can see into the Ethereal Plane to a range of 60ft., and you have immunity to all damage except psychic.
If the ground where you stand is moved, you simply hover in place until returning. You can use this ability once per short rest.
Focus the Mind
Additionally at 11th level, your advanced teachings have allowed you to battle without needing to rely on what you can only see. You gain blindsight out to a range of 30 feet.
Enlightened
At level 17, you open your mind to the universe in totality, unlocking powers of instinct that can only be dreamt of. You can gleam the narrative of events that have yet to occur, as an action, you can spend 8 ki points to cast the <spell>Foresight</spell> spell on yourself without requiring material components.
