Base Class: Fighter
Fighters who become Lionhearts are among an elite cadre of warriors who have learned to harness their inner warrior spirit and manifest into a layer of spectral armor to augment their martial prowess. Never far from the frontlines, Lionhearts control the tide of any battle by commanding their allies, bolstering their resolve and crushing their enemies with overwhelming force. When a Lionheart is leading the charge, victory is all but inevitable.
Commander
3rd-level Lionheart feature
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Intimidation and Persuasion skills if you don’t already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of those proficiencies.
Leonine Mantle
3rd-level Lionheart feature
You can use a bonus action to manifest a suit of spiritual armor to enhance your combat prowess. You determine the armor's appearance, it lasts for 10 minutes and it vanishes when you dismiss it (no action required), are incapacitated or die. While the spiritual armor is activated you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a +1 bonus to your AC.
- Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
- You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
- When you hit a creature with a weapon or unarmed attack, you deal an extra 1d6 force damage.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Call to Action
7th-level Lionheart feature
Your knowledge of battlefield tactics allows you to find the most advantageous positions for you and your comrades. As an action, choose up to ten allied creatures (including yourself) within 60 feet that can see or hear you. The chosen creatures can use their reaction to move up to half their movement speed. Moving in this way does not provoke opportunity attacks and ignores difficult terrain.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest. The number of times you can use this feature increases to twice at 10th and three times at 15th level.
Roar of Defiance
10th-level Lionheart feature
Your resolve can rival even the most fearsome of creatures. While your Leonine Mantle is activated you can, as an action, let out a supernatural roar to embolden your allies. You and a number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus (your choice) within 30 feet of you that can hear you gains advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened for 1 minute. If a chosen creature is already under one of the effects mentioned, they instead remove that effect. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Moreover, the extra force damage you deal with your Leonine Mantle feature increases to 1d8.
Invigorating Surge
15th-level Lionheart feature
When you use your Action Surge feature while your Leonine Mantle is activated, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to twice your fighter level. Temporary hit points gained in this way last until you finish a short rest.
Mantle of Victory
18th-level Lionheart feature
You have trained your abilities to the point of mastery and turned into an unstoppable juggernaut. Whenever you use your Leonine Mantle you receive the following additional benefits:
- You are resistant to all damage.
- The extra damage you deal increases to 1d10 force damage.
- When you use your Indomitable feature you treat any roll of 9 or lower as 10.
