Base Class: Bard
The college of Dance is home to elegance and flair. Bards who dedicate themselves to this college are able to perform magical and enthralling dances to aid the spirit of their allies, enthrall their foes, and channel magical effects to aid them.
Mending Inspiration
At 3rd level, your inspiration is able to mend the spirits of your allies. A creature that has a Bardic Inspiration die from you can use its bonus action to roll that die and regain a number of hit points equal to twice the result of the roll. A creature must have at least 1 hit point to use your Mending Inspiration in this way.
Battle Dancer
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Acrobatics skill. Additionally, you gain the following Battle Dance options from those listed below. Battle Dances use your Bardic Inspiration and if a dance calls for a saving throw, it uses your Spell Save DC.
Battle Dance Options
Battle Dance options are presented below in alphabetical order.
Distracting Dance
When a creature within 60 feet of you that you can see hits an ally with an attack, as a reaction you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to perform a dance that distracts the creature. You reduce the damage of the attack by a number equal to 5 + the result of the Bardic Inspiration die.
Empowering Dance
As an action, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to perform an inspiring dance to strengthen the resolve of a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier within 60 feet that can see you. The chosen creatures gain a bonus to their AC equal to half of the result of the Bardic Inspiration die (rounded up) until the start of your next turn.
Enthralling Dance
As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to attempt to charm a creature with an exotic dance. Choose a creature within 60 feet of you that you can see. If you choose, the creature takes an amount of psychic damage equal to twice the result of your Bardic Inspiration die before or after the effects of this Dance. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is charmed by you for one minute. While charmed in this way, the creature can attempt a Wisdom saving throw at the end of each of its turns to end the effects of this ability.
Gleaming Dance
As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to perform a flashy and vibrant dance. When you do so, choose up to a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier that you can see within 60 feet. Those creatures take an amount of radiant damage equal to the result of your Bardic Inspiration die and must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature is Blinded until the start of your next turn.
Elegant Ascension
Starting at 6th level, you are able to call upon magic to alter your weight in ways to aid you. As a bonus action during your turn, you can alter your weight and become as light as a feather. When you do so you gain a Flying speed equal to your Walking speed until the start of your next turn. If you are aloft at the end of your turn, your weight returns to normal and you plummet to the ground as you would normally.
Additionally, while under the effects of this ability, you gain advantage on Dexterity checks and saving throws and if you would take half damage from a successful Dexterity saving throw, you instead suffer no damage.
Dancer of Resplendent Life
When you reach 14th level, you gain mastery over battle dancing. You gain the following benefits.
- Whenever you use a Battle Dance option, you can roll a d6 and use it instead of expending a Bardic Inspiration die.
- When a creature with Bardic Inspiration from you falls below 0 hit points, as a reaction, you can expend the Bardic Inspiration, causing them to instead fall to 1 hit point and heal for an amount of Hit Points equal to the result of your Bardic Inspiration die + your Charisma modifier.
