Base Class: Barbarian
Maybe you have a short fuse or maybe you are just always angry, but either way you use that rage to fuel your strength. Hitting harder, moving faster, and sticking in the fight longer than others, you knock enemies around and create some chaos on the battlefield.
Seething Anger
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level you gain proficiency in Intimidation, and can make those rolls with double the PB. If you are already proficient, you still gain expertise with Intimidation, and you can gain proficiency with another skill from the Barbarian list.
Additionally, you gain a pool of dice equal to your Constitution modifier, minimum 1. They start as d6, and increase with each subclass feature gained to d8, d10, and d12 at 6, 10, and 14th level, and these refresh when you rage or take a short or long rest. You can spend these dice in the following ways:
- Cold Cock: When you make an attack roll, you can spend an anger die to add damage equal to the number rolled + Con modifier and can either knock the the opponent prone or 10 feet back. The damage type is the same as the damage from the attack.
- Lash Out: When a hostile opponent moves within 15 feet of you, you can use your reaction to close the distance and make a single attack, using the spent die to add to the attack roll. This can be used in conjunction with other angry moves.
- Take Down: When you move 10 feet or more in a straight line towards your target and attack, you attempt spear it and take it to the ground. If it hits, the target must succeed a strength saving floor or take additional bludgeoning damage equal die rolled + Con modifier (half damage on a success), and It is grappled, if it is smaller than huge, unless you have a feature that allows you to grapple one size larger (like Goliath or Firbolg racial features), them it can be huge or smaller. If the saving throw fails by 5 more, it is restrained. It can make an opposed Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check at the end of its turn to escape the grapple/restrain.
- Fan the Flames: As a bonus action, you can expend one of the anger dice to replenish health equal to the die rolled + Con Modifier. This would refresh your rage in the same way taking damage does.
Burning Anger
When you would make a Constitution saving throw for half damage, you take no damage if you pass or half damage if you do not.
Additionally, you are immune to the poison condition and poison damage while raging.
Quick to Anger
You may rage as a reaction to any threatening action taken towards you or a friendly target within 30 feet of you, if the action itself takes place within 30 feet of you.
If the reaction is to you taking damage, then you gain resistance to all damage sources, (whether magical or not) for that reaction.
Enduring Hate
As long as you have anger dice still available, you cannot be knocked unconscious while raging. You still will make death saving throws as normal however, but if you expend an anger die to use Fan The Flames, it will cause you to return to consciousness and stop making death saving throws, regaining the health typically.
